Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MAIDEN (1) – 288M

 

Best away was TOP TACTIC, with ZAFONIC SPIRIT and BUD’S KNIGHT slowly away.  Soon after the start, TOP TACTIC turned its head inwards and failed to make contact.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BUD’S MILLAR checked off NACHO GRANDE, causing NACHO GRANDE to drop back and take no further competitive part in the event.  On the turn out of the back straight, TOP TACTIC and RED BELLY BLACK collided, causing RED BELLY BLACK to fall, hampering BUD’S DELIGHT.  In the home straight, TOP TACTIC turned its head outwards, making muzzle contact with DEVIL FISH. 

 

The greyhound NACHO GRANDE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RED BELLY BLACK underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BUD’S KNIGHT underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Best away was MASTER ZIMBO and OUTBACK SHADOW with CAUSEWAY BUD slowly away. On the top turn MADAM KARMA was wide. Approaching the finish post MADAM KARMA and OUTBACK SHADOW collide.

 

Race 3 – SKY RACING NOVICE (1) – 288M

 

Best away was HARDLY NORMAL, GOLD GRACE and SOLO MISSION, with ROYAL PLAY slowly away.  Ent ering the turn out of the back straight, NIKOLUCKY checked off the heels of RYAN’S ILLUSION, causing RYAN’S ILLUSION to drop back.  In the home straight, GOLD GRACE was wide. 

 

Race 4 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (2) – 288M

 

Best away was POINT SEVEN, upon jumping RAPID EFFECT stumbled.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SHORT CUT CHARLY and CLOVER BRIGID collide, causing CLOVER BRIGID to shift out checking RAPID EFFECT.  Entering the home straight, CLOVER BRIGID and RAPID EFFECT collide, with RAPID MAIL wide in the home straight. 

 

The greyhound CLOVER BRIGID underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – KAYPAT LODGE 5TH GRADE (1) – 288M

 

Best away was STAR RISE, with the rest evenly away.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, BRAYSTONES BEACH checked off the heels of STRUDEL.  Entering the home straight, BRAYSTONES BEACH and MR. APOLLO collide.  In the home straight, RACHEL TERROR was wide.

Even start.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, REDNECK BANJO checked off the heels of INDIAN RUBY.  Entering the turn into the home straight, SIRIUS STAR and INIDAN RUBY collide, causing INDIAN RUBY to shift out, checking REDNECK BANJO.  In the home straight, FABTHOR was wide.

 

The greyhound REDNECK BANJO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 288M

 

Best away was BARNEY BE GOOD, with MEMPHIS slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, MEMPHIS and SHOW BOUND collide, causing MEMPHIS to race wide on the turn.  In the home straight, BARNEY BE GOOD was wide.

Best away was CAPTAIN TIL, with the rest evenly away.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, REGAL TRAV checked off the heels of SHORT SESSION.  Entering the home straight, BLACK DRATTA checked off the heels of SHORT SESSION.  In the home straight, CAPTAIN TIL was wide. 

 

Race 9 – FEMALE TRAINER 2006 – SARAH PRINGLE 5TH GRADE (3) – 288M

 

Even start, with ZABDON MCGREGOR slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SLICK SHANNON and HONEY’S PRINCESS collide.  Entering the home straight, SLICK SHANNON and KYEEKY collide, causing SLICK SHANNON to drop back.  In the home straight, HONEY’S PRINCESS was wide.

Best away was PAY THE WAY, with MASTER DEAN and TRIP TO VEGAS slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, MASTER DEAN checked off the heels of TRIP TO VEGAS.  On the top turn, ON TIGHT LINES and RAMBLIN’ ROSE collide.

 

The greyhound TRIP TO VEGAS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days
