Other Comments / Explanations: The track surface was harrowed to a depth of 70mm on 30-09-19. Races 8-10 were abandoned due to a lighting issue of the race track. Stewards and the race day veterinarian took into consideration the amount of time the greyhounds had spent in the kennels and the unknown time of repairs.
Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m 2 Kooringa Kendal- Bumped shortly after the start. 4 Dempsey Lee- Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. 5 Royal Reward- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 6 Zuleika- Slow to begin. Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. 7 Zabdon Opium- Had its heels contacted entering the turn out of the back straight. Shifted out in the home straight to avoid interference and was hampered. 8 Farrah's Legacy- Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked.
Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m 1 Antagonize- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 2 Lone Cowboy- Quick to begin. 7 Bud's Hope- Had its heels contacted through the turn out of the back straight. 9 (Box 6) Stylish Duck- Slow to begin. Advanced onto heels through the turn into the home straight.
Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 431m 1 Somerset Miss- Collided with another runner in the first turn and was checked. 2 Special Karmar- Collided with another runner in the first turn and was checked. 3 Go Wild- Collided with another runner in the first turn and was checked. 4 Dahomey Hot Talk- Collided with another runner in the first turn and was severely checked causing the greyhound to fall and take no further part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. 6 Blue Thunder Bud- Wide throughout. 7 Dodgy Kell- Collided with
another runner in the first turn and was severely checked causing the greyhound
to fall and take no further part in the event. Underwent a post-race
veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards spoke with connections regarding the greyhound performance at the start when leaving the boxes. Stewards issued a warning and advised connections the greyhound must begin more competitively in future starts.
Race 4 – DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 431m 2 Stevo's Bad Boy- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 14 days. 3 Sir Pantsalot- Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 6 Final Plea- Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 7 Dahomey Windsong- Checked off heels through the turn into the home straight.
Race 5 – BEENLEIGH LEGAL NOVICE 431m 1 Euroa Flex- Collided with another runner through the first turn and checked. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked causing the greyhound to fall and take not further part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal and abnormalities. 2 Here I Am- Checked wide entering the back straight. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal and abnormalities. 3 Inspired Hope- Bumped another runner in the first turn 4 Willie Fire- Collided with another runner through the first turn and checked. 5 Yeah What- Commenced to give ground in the back straight and took no further part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days. 6 Twig Buzz- Bumped another runner in the first turn. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 7 Inciter- Forced wide into the turn out of the back straight. 8 Gunn Run- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.
Race 6 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 4/5 520m 2 Cool Hand Gus- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 3 Kravitz- Began awkwardly. 7 Sparkling Jewel- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.
Race 7 – GREYHOUND GEAR NMW 520m Stewards were advised that the track lights were inoperable prior to the start of race 7. Stewards where in the opinion that there was sufficient natural lighting to run the event safely at the scheduled time. Stewards advised all trainers engaged in the event that they would be eligible to withdraw their runners at no penalty if they choose. No trainers elected to withdraw any runners. 1 Sesqui- Bumped on a number of occasions in the home straight. 2 Jimary Dynamite- Hampered entering the turn out of the back straight. 4 Yuken Merry- Quick to begin. 5 Prize Portrait- Slow to begin. Forced wide into the first turn. 6 Emma Said- Bumped on a number of occasions in the home straight.
