ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

CAPE DE BELLE was the best to begin.  SILVER WEASEL was tightened for racing room and checked off DYNA PIETRO on the turn out of the back straight.  TAHNE’S PICK raced wide entering the front straight.

DAN THE PAINTER MAN NOVICE 380M

CHEEKY KAYA was a late scratching at kennelling on veterinary advice.

 

The start of the race was delayed 1.30 minutes due to interstate harness racing.

 

Even start with RHONDA’S BEAR slow to begin.  KICKING KARMAR was tightened for racing room and checked off RHONDA’S YOGI on the turn out of the back straight.  RHONDA’S YOGI checked across the heels of WICKED BROTHER and lost ground prior to turning into the front straight.  RHONDA’S YOGI raced wide into the front straight.

ANNIVERSAY CUP 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 380M

The race was declared at ‘NO RACE” when the leading greyhound, NATTY’S ON FIRE” drew level with the lure prior to turning into the front straight.  Under the rules of greyhound racing GAR 55, stewards were of the opinion that the position of the lure may have had a detrimental effect on the result of the race.

ANNIVERSAY CUP 4/5th GRADE HEAT 2 380M

The start of the race was delayed 20 minutes due to problems with the lure.

 

ILLY BALE was the best to begin.  SCAR’S BROTHER was slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the back straight resulting in SLATER’S PICK and ILLY BALE losing ground.  Shortly after ROCKIN’ TONIGHT checked off HARBOUR REIGN causing interference to SCAR’S BROTHER.  WINNIE’S ROSE shifted out to race wide into the front straight forcing SCAR’S BROTHER wide.

ANNIVERSAY CUP 4/5th GRADE HEAT 3 380M

The starting times of races 5 to 11 were adjusted accordingly.

 

Even start with WILLY ROCKET slow to begin.  MIRA’S DJAY checked off BOWENVALE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to FARINGDON and ALL FUELED UP.

LAWDORN FAMILY 5th GRADE 498M

BIMBADGEN MAN and POPPY CHOOKY were the best to begin.  ARE JAY DEE and BANJO AN’ HENRY were slow to begin.  POPPY CHOOKY checked across the heels of CINCINNATI LASS to race wide into the front straight.

LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS BEST 8 380M

AMY’S ELITE was the best to begin.  FERAL CHERAL and NOVA PARTY were slow to begin.  BIG SAV was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  UNIVERSAL ONE checked off GO GWAN and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  FERAL CHERAL raced wide in the front straight.

BOHLE BARN NQ CUP FINAL 498M

Even start with HUCKABEE marginally slow to begin.  BRUTON MISS improved on to the heels of SLOW DANCER on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

Even start with BROTHER ROB and MAGIC MILLAH slow to begin.  RHONDA’S DOUGIE checked off BELLE’S HAWKE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

Even start with ARTS slow to begin.  WICKED EARNER was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  ARTS checked off the heels of COOPER’S LESSON and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to SALA BALE.

LAWBRINGER was the best to begin.  MR. CANNA was slow to begin.  SMOKEY WISHES checked off PALEFACE SCOTCH and lost some ground on the turn out of the back straight.  PALEFACE SCOTCH shifted out to race wide entering the front straight.
