slow to begin. QUEEN VEEBEE was tightened for racing room
and lost ground in the back straight. ORBILICIOUS raced wide into and down the
front straight. |

NOVICE – 380M MAYWYN OFTEN was the best to begin. POPPY CHOOKY checked off the heels of BULL
DANCE and lost some ground prior to turning out of the back straight. MAYWYN OFTEN and CHANDON ELIXIR bumped on the
turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced
and losing some ground. |

COMPLEX 5TH GRADE – 498M The boxes failed to open on the first
occasion. All greyhounds were removed
and checked by the veterinarian and all were declared fit to race. A start was affected on the second occasion
three minutes late. ASA ABBANDANDO was the best to begin. General tightening occurred on the first turn
after the start resulting in GROOVY SWEET losing ground. SLIDING DOORS checked off BURNER BANT and
lost ground entering the back straight. WICKED ASSASSIN checked across the heels of
PREMIUM SHAMROCK and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. GROOVY SWEET shifted out to race wide
entering the front straight bumping JACK ADDI. Trainer C. Wilcox was advised that the
performance of ASA ABBANDANDO, especially just prior to the finish line, was
bordering on unsatisfactory. |

WEISE FAMILY BEST 8 – 380M GOLD TOTAL was the
best to begin. BRINDI CHOPPER was
tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight. BRINDI CHOPPER
improved on to the heels of INNOCENT MAN and lost ground prior to turning out
of the back straight. General tightening
occurred on the turn out of the back straight resulting in INNOCENT MAN
losing ground. BRINDI CHOPPER checked off WHATTA PASS
approaching the turn into the front straight resulting in GO PRANCER GO
checking off the hind quarters of BRINDI CHOPPER causing RONRAY FLAME to lose
ground appearing injured and failing to finish the race. |

and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to
RHONDA’S DOUGIE and ISOLA BELLA who fell as a result. |

off the heels of DREAM WEAVER and lost ground prior to turning out of the
back straight. FARINGDON checked off
DREAM WEAVER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting
in interference to LICORICE SHOT. STRONG ENOUGH checked
off CAN’T POSSIBLY and lost ground after turning out of the back straight
causing interference to MAGIC DOUG. DREAM WEAVER raced
wide in the front straight. |

ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to TOES. TOES checked across the heels of NOT A WORD
and became unbalanced shifting out bumping LOTS OF TIME who also became
unbalanced and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. |

entering the front straight bumping CHOC LATTE CLOUD causing that greyhound
some inconvenience. |

and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. ILLY BALE was tightened for racing room and
lost ground prior to turning into the front straight causing some
inconvenience to PYRE. PYRE shifted out across the heels of
GOLDENPAW FLYER bumping ILLY BALE causing that greyhound to become unbalanced
and lost ground entering the front straight. |

GENERAL: Stewards took evidence from trainer M. Pandelakis and Handler B. Welsh in relation to a
complaint lodged by M. Pandelakis concerning an
incident in the catching pen following the running of Race 5. Mr Pandelakis
stated he felt intimidated by Mr Welsh’s actions in the catching pen. Stewards advised Mr Welsh of the provisions
of the Rules of Greyhound Racing in particular to conduct and behaviour and
took no further action. FINES:

injury, 10 days Race 6, ISOLA BELLA, Bruising to head and
