The greyhound TRENDY HAWKE failed to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN (1) – 380M

 

AMBURLA was best to begin, with FORGOTTEN GEM marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, KING GUTHO clipped heels and was hampered.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, KING GUTHO collided with LEGS O’REILLY, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.

LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD MAIDEN (2) – 380M

 

YOSSIE was best to begin, with SILVER SNIPER and BAG LADY slow. Entering the 1st turn, SANDOWN SARAH was tightened for racing room and hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn, SILVER SNIPER got onto the hindquarters of LITTLE BIT LOST, causing SILVER SNIPER to fall and give no further competitive part in the race, and LITTLE BIT LOST to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound SILVER SNIPER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side front leg and was humanely euthanised.

A20 TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS NOVICE – 380M

 

Even start, with SURFING ELLIE slow.  Shortly after the start, DYNA FABLE was tightened for racing room and hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn, QUEEN VEEBEE collided with CHANDON ELIXIR, causing QUEEN VEEBEE to lose ground, and causing WESTMEAD WARRIOR and SURFING ELLIE to be checked.

 

The greyhound QUEEN VEEBEE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BIRR was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, BANJO AN’ HENRY was tightened for racing room, causing BROTHER ROB to be checked and both greyhounds to lose ground.

ALL FUELED UP was best to begin, with WOOP WOOP KIT marginally slow.   Entering the 1st turn, CABARET TONIGHT, WOOP WOOP KIT and BELLE’S HAWKE collided, causing all greyhounds to lose significant ground. In the front straight, PHANTOM HENRY  and TOES bumped.

 

The greyhound CABARET TONIGHT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

DARREN TAYLOR & FAMILY MIXED 4/5 – 498M

 

Even start, with SLIDING DOORS marginally slow.  the 1st turn, ASA ABBANDANDO and DALMTYNSKI collided, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn, CZARNY and DALMATYNSKI collided, causing both to lose ground.  Leaving the back straight, CZARNY clipped heels, shifted out checking ASA ABBANDANDO, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound CZARNY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

WEE WIN KENNELS MIXED 3/4  - 380M

 

Even start, with LOCHIELLE marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, ROCKIN’ TONIGHT was tightened for racing room, causing WHATTA PASS to be checked and both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the 1st turn, ROCKIN’ TONIGHT got onto the hindquarters of WHATTA PASS, causing WHATTA PASS to lose ground and give no further competitive part in the race. 

 

The greyhound WHATTA PASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind hock and was humanely euthanised.

LICORICE SHOT was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, NOT A WORD and INNOCENT MAN raced tight, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, LICORICE SHOT was tightened for racing room and hampered.

LUXURY PAINTS 4TH GRADE – 380M

 

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn, RHONDA’S DOUGIE clipped the heels of FANCY A BEER, checking BOYS ROUND HERE, RAMBO RITSON and BLACK RUSKY, causing all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees. 

 

The greyhound BOYS ROUND HERE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

WICKED BROTHER was best to begin, MAYWYN OFTEN was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, PREMIER SHAMROCK clipped the heels of BREAKER CHARLIE, causing PREMIER SHAMROCK to lose ground.  In the front straight, WICKED BROTHER and GOOD PEOPLE bumped.
