Due to track repairs and cones put in place the start of race one was delayed by 25mins.
 
Race 1: RAY WHITE RURAL BARCALDINE / LONGREACH BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
S. McGovern was the rider of SONA SANCER.
 
IMAGINALTHEPEOPLE – Jumped inwards heavily contacting an inside runner.
 
SOLO MELODY – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
RHYTHM NATION – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
PETITE ELLE – Jumped outwards heavily contacting an outside runner, eased at the 350m awaiting clear running.
 
CONQUERS ALL – Reared as the gates opened, then contacted very heavily when runners either side shifted ground losing considerable ground.
 
Race 2: RAY WHITE RURAL BARCALDINE / LONGREACH MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres 
 
 
HARVEY STAR – Slow into stride.
 
NOBLE THOUGHT – Run around in the home straight.
 
PLENTY OF WHITT – Contacted at the start.
 
SURPRISE SELECTION – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner, then travelling wide in the early stages.
 
SPALLINA – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
Race 3: RAY WHITE RURAL BARCALDINE / LONGREACH CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
TOO MUCH LIP – Slow into stride and travelled wide in the early stages.
 
 GOLDSAY – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
RECONIS – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
GREAT SHINE – Slow into stride, eased off heels at the 850m when over racing and eased off heels at the 700m when galloping in restricted room.
 
Race 4: RAY WHITE RURAL BARCALDINE / LONGREACH OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
HEROISM – Contacted shortly after the start.
 
I AM A LAD – Jumped inwards contacting an inside runner.
 
ME MYSELF AND I – Slow into stride, then raced keenly in the early stages and was checked off heels at the 1100m.
 
PYRAMID PRINCE – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
Race 5: RAY WHITE RURAL BARCALDINE / LONGREACH BM 60 HANDICAP - 1300 metres      
 
DUCK IN DUBAI – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
BARBERANCE – Slow into stride.
 
STYLISH LUCK – Threw its head back on jumping contacting jockey Richardson in the face and causing the gelding to be slow away, then travelled wide in the middle and late stages when travelling better than inside runners.
