Race 1 –  SMILING WIDE ORTHODONTIST RATINGS BAND 0 – 50 Handicap 1090m
ATOMIC MISSILE – Slightly hampered between runners on jumping. Jockey M.Cox was reprimanded under rule AR.132(7)(a)(ii) for excessive whip use prior to the 100m and reminded of her obligation under AR. 132(7)(a)(i) to not use the whip in consecutive strides.
 
WILD ELEMENT – Laid out over the concluding stages.
 
SALTY’S BOY – Raced wide without cover.
 
MAGIC PANTHER – Shifted out on jumping and bumped STAR FROM HEAVEN. Raced wide with cover.
 
GRACEFUL GIFT – Raced wide without cover.
 
DIA VERNON – Slow into stride. Raced wide with cover. Apprentice L.Dillon reported that she was disappointed with the geldings performance today and felt that it may have resented the sand kickback. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 2 – BOB GALLAGHER MEMORIAL Maiden Plate 1090m
Due to Starter A.Emery having a conflict of interest in this particular race, Assistant Starter B. Stiendl was declared the starter.
 
THE ORANGE MUPPET – Laid in during the home straight.
 
CAMPUS BELL – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping ALLOFIT. Raced in restricted room approaching the 800m and steadied when DADDY WARBUCKS shifted out slightly and ALLOFIT shifted in slightly.  Jockey K.Gates reported that the mare may have resented the sand kickback when in a trialling position and may have knuckled behind. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed minor abrasions on the hind legs.
 
ALLOFIT – Raced 4 wide without cover.
 
PERMAFROST – Raced wide without cover. Jockey H.Phillips reported that she was disappointed with todays performance and felt that the gelding may have not appreciated the soft going of todays track however noted that it did finish off well in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3 – GREG WHALLEY DENTAL OPEN Handicap 1090m
AL’S BRIEF – Laid out over the concluding stages.
 
ALERT BY SEA - Raced wide without cover.
 
MONEY AD – Steadied approaching the 900m when EIGHT OVER shifted in. Jockey G.Geran was reminded of his obligations when allowing his mount to shift ground.
 
TRUMPFUL – Raced wide without cover.
 
Race 4 – CHARLTONS LAWYERS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1212m
The start was delayed when AXIS became fractious in the barriers. AXIS was declared a late scratching at 3.46pm under Stewards orders. Trainer R. Hand was advised that the gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next start.
 
Stewards ordered that all monies invested prior on AXIS to be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply:

6c for the place
 
QUEEN CONSORT – Raced in restricted room shortly after the start and was steadied approaching the 1100m when TEN TAUBADA’s shifted in slightly as LAYLA’S LAD shifted out, tightening the running of both QUEEN CONSORT and BIG SHAKKA. Stewards reprimanded Jockey H.Phillips under rule AR. 131(a) for allowing her mount to shift in. Stewards also reprimanded Apprentice L.Dillon for the same incident under rule AR. 131(a) for allowing her mount to shift in. When considering penalties, Stewards took into consideration the degree of interference suffered and both riders good records in relation to the rule.

WARNERS LANDING – Raced wide without cover.
 
THIS IS LIVIN’ – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover.


Race 5 – THE WAVES SPORTS CLUB COAST TO THE COUNTRY Class B Handicap 1380m
MS ORBITAL SPIRIT – Shifted out shortly after the start in attempt to find better going on the track and raced wide from that point.
 
MOUNTEBANK – Began awkwardly and bumped SAGRE’S POINT.
 
BENNELONG – Shifted in on jumping and bumped SAGRE’S POINT. Raced wide with cover.
 
LITTLE SPOON – Raced wide without cover in the early stages.
 
ALL ELLIE – Raced wide without cover.
