GENERAL
 
Stewards accepted the reasons for the late declarations of riders for SIZZLING POWER – Race 1 and SAY HAYA and TAPA BONNIE – Race 7.
 
Race 1: TAB MAIDEN H'CAP – 1300M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow the connections of 4th placegetter SAN BERNARDINO to view the photo finish image.
 
ICE ELITE – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
ZIPTIE – Buffeted between runners on jumping and lost ground. Overraced in the early and middle stages and proved difficult to settle. Put in an awkward stride and blundered when attempting to improve wider on the course near the 500m.
 
SAN BERNARDINO – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
CAMOUFLAGE GIRL – Rider M. Nakao accidentally dropped her whip near the 100m.
 
FROM NOW – Began awkwardly, buffeted between runners and lost ground.
 
Race 2: TAB MAIDEN PLATE – 1650M
 
JIMMY NEUTRON – Overraced approaching the turn out of the straight and shifted wider on the course.
 
MADCALL – Slow into stride. Overraced in the early stages.
 
PRINNY’S SUCCESS – Slow into stride. Forced wider rounding the first turn. Raced three wide in the early stages before reaching a position outside the leader near the 800m.
 
KEYHOLE – Raced three wide throughout.
 
REEF ISLAND – Forced wider rounding the first turn.
 
PISCOPIA – Momentarily steadied near the 700m when ZOFF THE BOSS shifted away from the rails to improve.
 
WIND RIVER – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers at the request of its rider and was cleared to start. Forced wider rounding the first turn. After being caught very wide in the early stages its rider then elected to improve and raced three wide, challenging for the lead passing the 900m, and then continued to race wide.
 
Race 3: CHOOSE AQUIS, CHOOSE SUCCESS CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1100M
 
RAMTASTIC – Raced three wide, challenging for the lead before restraining to take cover near the 700m.
 
DRAM OF DELAGO – On arrival on course slipped over in the stabling area, shifting a back plate, which was reaffixed, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
SPLASH OF CRISTAL – Raced three wide throughout.
 
YOUR OPTION – Began moderately before mustering speed and racing in a forward position.
 
EVE’S JET – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Race 4: PERFORMER STANDING AT AQUIS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1400M
 
KATARINA – Began awkwardly and shifted out, tightening AMUTHON, which lost its position. Tightened for racing room approaching the home turn.
 
JESSINA – Began awkwardly.
 
AMUTHON – Tightened on jumping and lost its position. Shifted in slightly at the 700m, making contact with the rail and becoming unbalanced. Held up approaching the home turn until the 150m.
 
BONSEA – Slow into stride. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
DRUMS JEWEL – Raced three wide throughout. Shifted in marginally approaching the home turn, tightening the racing room of KATARINA.
 
STELLAR JEWEL – After beginning well, commenced to overrace before being restrained to a rearward trailing position near the 1100m.
 
Race 5: SPELL & PRE-TRAIN AT AQUIS RACING CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1650M
 
SPIRIT’S PRIDE – Began awkwardly and shifted out, bumping EIRA. Inclined to lay in near the 700m, making heavy contact with the rail. Hung in near the 400m, making contact with the rail and becoming unbalanced.
 
SPANISH HURRICANE – Began moderately. After settling in a rearward trailing position, the rider then elected to improve three wide passing the 1000m. Momentarily forced four wide near the 800m before obtaining the position outside the leader near the 500m.
 
SOARING HEART – After being caught wide in the early stages, was restrained to a midfield trailing position approaching the first turn. Near the 700m, when in a trailing position on the fence, was inconvenienced and shifted wider when SPIRIT’S PRIDE made heavy contact with the rail.
 
EIRA – Bumped on jumping. Eased three wide to improve near the 800m.
 
CORSINI – Fractious in the barriers, removed, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to start. Began moderately. Inconvenienced and shifted wider near the 700m.
 
KIRA’S BEAT – Raced three wide in the early stages before reaching the position outside the leader near the 1000m. Tired noticeably over the final 300m.
 
Race 6: AQUIS SELLING AT MAGIC MILLIONS BENCHMARK 70 H'CAP – 1200M
 
HIGH COST – Steadied shortly after the start when awkwardly placed at the heels of I LIKE CANDY. Raced very keenly in the early stages, proving difficult to settle, before pulling its way to the lead near the 800m.
 
MISHANI ELECTRA – Began moderately. Had to be checked and lost its rightful running when tightened for room near the 1100m. P. Timbery, the rider of I LIKE CANDY, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that after progressing forward from the barriers on an acute angle, near the 1100m he permitted his mount to cross in advance of MISHANI ELECTRA when not sufficiently clear of that runner. Jockey Timbery’s licence to ride in races was suspended for 10 days, commencing midnight Friday 13 December and expiring midnight Monday 23 December 2019.
 
I LIKE CANDY – Crossed by HIGH COST near the 700m and was momentarily awkwardly placed at the heels of that runner and was obliged to steady.
 
LWAZI – S. Lacy reported that in her opinion her mount did not appreciate today’s track conditions.
 
Race 7: TAB QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1200M
 
CABALO ESCURO – Raced three wide throughout.
 
ADAMDEEANT – Began awkwardly and shifted in, making contact with IN GREAT NIC.
 
EFFORT – Shifted ground when weakening over the final 100m.
 
MISHANI ROMANCE – Forced very wide near the 700m.
 
SAY HAYA – Shifted in near the 1000m, momentarily tightening the runner to its inside. Near the 700m, when racing three wide, momentarily shifted in for a stride tightening TAPA BONNIE when racing greenly. Momentarily held up  rounding the home turn before obtaining a clear run nearer the rail.
 
IN GREAT NIC – Began awkwardly, was bumped and lost its position. Steadied near the 1000m when SAY HAYA shifted in. Checked near the 700m.
 
TISANI ROSE – Near the 700m, when racing greenly, made that turn awkwardly and shifted out, causing TAPA  BONNIE to be checked and shift wider on the course and across the heels of SAY HAYA, and in turn IN GREAT NIC, which was trailing, was also checked and MISHANI ROMANCE was forced very wide. After considering the interference suffered by several runners near the 700m, stewards noted that there were contributing factors, primarily the racing manners of TAPA BONNIE and TISANI ROSE, and noted the incident.
 
TAPA BONNIE – Tightened and checked when racing greenly between runners near the 700m.
