Due to the impending weather the first race begun at 1.10pm with races running every 30 mins subsequently .
 
 
Race 1: BARCOO BUTCHERY CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
CLASSIC WIND – Slow to begin.
 
LEND ME A TENNER – Slow into stride, then raced ungenerously throughout and jockey Romeo stated then gelding felt sore.
 
NOTHING TO DANCE – Jumped outwards.
 
IMPLICATE – Hung out for much of the event.
 
DIVA MISS – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 2: SPINKS CONCRETING MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
 
PART THE SEA – Was permitted by stewards to race with no front shoes after dislodging one in the float on the way to the track.
 
SHE DRIVES MECRAZY -- Jumped outwards and awkwardly losing ground and travelled wide for the majority.
 
Race 3: SCHLUTER’S BAKERY BM 60 HANDICAP - 1050 metres  
 
NO OTHER WAY – Slow into stride and travelled wide for the majority.
 
GESSNER – Slow to begin.
Race 4: BLACKALL IGA OPEN HANDICAP - 1050 metres  
 
CRAWFISH – Slow away when the gate came back and hit the gelding.
 
MENACING – Jumped outwards.
 
SLENT RAGE – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 5: DOLLY’S DREAM/PETER SHAW ELECTRICAL BM 50 HANDICAP - 1200 metres      
 
BIG DON – Slow to begin.
 
PARANA – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
ROCK ON SKYE – Shifted out down home straight when under pressure.
