Race 1: Emerald Coaches QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
LA VOGLIA- Made contact with BAGGER NEMO on jumping.
BAGGER NEMO- Made contact with LA VOGLIA on jumping. Shifted ground in the straight.
AMBER TOPS- Shortly after the start, buffeted between BAGGER NEMO and SUMMER LEA.
GALSHADOW- Apprentice N Morton was fined $200 for failing to claim her full allowance. App Morton claimed 1/2kg of her 1 ½ kg allowance. Stood flat-footed and lost ground when SUMMER LEA jumped inwards.
SIDEREUS SMILE- A little slow to begin. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed an injury to the near fore tendon. A veterinary certificate will be required prior to its next race start.
Race 2: Bill White’s Electrics BenchMark 65 Handicap 1000m
SIPPIN BUNDY- Due to not having raced for over 12 months, underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and cleared to race. Raced wide throughout.
REVERSE LOGIC- Shifted out shortly after the start, bumped ZOOMING out onto FIDEREUS and ONEMORE BOPA was hampered. Eased near the 700 metres when another runner rolled out.
ZOOMING- Bumped at the start.
ONEMORE BOPA- Hampered at the start. Rolled out near the 700 metres.
POLAR BLITZ- Raced wide throughout.
SKY BROOK- Rider reported that as this was the mare’s first start with ear muffs, it had settled too well and he had difficulty getting the mare to respond to his efforts in the race.
Race 3: MSP Photography Class B Handicap 1200m
HAYYLER’S TARY- Jumped out and took SEA PRAISE outwards.
SEA PRAISE- Taken out at the start. Raced wide without cover throughout.
CAUSE HAVOC- Slow to begin, jumped in and was hampered.
CHOICE SON- Raced wide for the majority of the race and lay in under pressure the final 150 metres. App N Morton was fined $200 for use of her whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100 metres. App N Morton was fined $200 for changing her riding boots and silks after weighing out without the permission of Stewards.
OLIVIA ‘N’ ME- Shifted ground under pressure in the straight.
Race 4: King & Company Mile Ratings Band 0-60 Handicap 1615m
MOHAKA RIVER- Immediately prior to the start, reared in the barriers. On jumping, was tightened between runners and lost ground. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.
TWO OF A KIND- Raced keenly in the early stages of the race.
Race 5: Emerald Service Centre Emerald Cup Open Handicap 1615m
TUXEDO BOY- Bounded in the air on jumping. Apprentice T Doyle was shown the race film and advised to stop and straighten his mounts when shifting ground under riding in the straight.
SANOSUKE- Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
