After arriving on course, Stewards upgraded the track from a Good 4 to a Good 3 at 12.30pm.
 
Race 1: WILSON BROTHERS FINANCE MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M
 
MI INSTINCT – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2: ROCK TRADE INDUSTRIES HELIDON QTIS 3YO CLASS 2 PLATE – 860M
 
WINDS OF CHANGE – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
TEAGZ – Hung out from the 600m until straightening.
 
REMEMBER MARY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 3: PORTERS PLAINLAND HOTEL MAIDEN H’CAP – 1400M
 
I’M ANTMAN – Lost the off fore plate in running.
 
SHEER MATRIX – Slow into stride. Struck the running rail near the 600m, and became unbalanced.
 
CLOWN IN THE MOON – After being caught very wide in the early stages, the mare was permitted to stride forward by its rider, and then raced 3 wide without cover.
 
BIANCATAK – Hung out throughout.
 
VICTORY STAR – Slow into stride.
 
LILLANLIV – Slow into stride.
 
SHE’S FOR RANSOM – Crowded for room and checked by WICKED HEIGHTS (L. Cheshire) which was racing close to the heels of BIANCATAK (App. H. Phillips) which shifted in slightly whilst hanging. In the circumstances, no action was taken by Stewards.
 
Race 4: LOCKYER PRODUCE GRANTHAM CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1400M
 
RULER’S PRIDE – Slow into stride. Raced 3 wide in the early stages. Laid in in the home straight.
 
GREAT MOGHUL – Jockey N. Thomas accidentally dropped his whip near the 100m.
 
MORNING FARE – Slow into stride.
 
COCKTAIL THONG – Following the disappointing performance, Trainer Mr. R. Mackay was advised that the mare would be barred from racing at TAB venues until such time as its form improves.
 
Race 5: KLUCK FARMS CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1400M
 
RED MONKEY – Clipped the heels of ZILITOR whilst overracing approaching the 1200m and, as a result, N. Fazackerley lost the use of his right stirrup for a short distance.
 
RED RIGHT OUT – Overraced in the middle stages, and was checked away from heels near the 800m.
 
DIVINE ACTION – As S. Galloway was not riding at the meeting today due to a misunderstanding, S. Bogenhuber was substituted as rider. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
FORDYCE KNIGHT – Checked away from heels near the 1200m.
 
Race 6: BLUE DOGS SPORTS COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1100M
 
FLAVIAN – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
RED WEDDING – Bumped heavily and crowded for room shortly after the start.
 
MAC’S BOY – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
MONTE LAGO – Raced 4 wide with cover throughout.
 
LAKE ARGYLE – Put its head down as the start was effected and, as a result, lost considerable ground.
 
TOECANARGIE MAN – Bumped heavily and crowded for room shortly after the start.
 
STORM ANCHOR – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 7: LOCKYER VALLEY REGIONAL COUNCIL CUP DAY SEPT 15 F&M BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1100M
 
LADY SELKIE – Began awkwardly. Hung out near the 400m, and had to be steadied from heels.
 
CRAFTY AQUILA – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
KONKOTA – Crowded for room and checked at the start.
 
DREAM STARLET – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
