Race 1 – TAB QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap – 900m
The start was delayed when MADAM OF THE HOUSE dislodged its tongue tie requiring it to be refitted.
 
ALOCTANE – Slow to begin.
 
ISAREADY – Tightened for room shortly after the start having to be steadied. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
ALL JEED UP – Shifted in shortly after the start tightening a runner to its inside. Raced ungenerously near the 700m and shifted in having to be steadied from heels. Crowded for room by another runner, which shifted out near the 100m. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
HIDDEN HAIL – Tightened for room between runners near the 600m. Leaving the 500m commenced to overrace becoming awkward on the heels of other runners having to be steadied. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
MAHOE GOLD – Laid in near the 600m tightening a runner to its inside.
 
DIYOSA – Shifted out near the 100m crowding another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SHE’S OUR RIPPA – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
PAPILIO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
POWERFUL ONE – Jockey D. Griffin reported at scale that the gelding had made a respiratory noise during running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 2 – Total Tools Burleigh Waters Best Price Guaranteed Class 3 Handicap – 900m
VERNAZZA – Shifted out at the start crowding runners to its outside. Laid out rounding the home turn and continued to do so in the home straight.
 
PATCHES – Crowded for room on jumping.
 
BETAIMA – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
DUELLATOR – Slow to begin.
 
SECLUDE – Jumped outwards at the start bumping with another runner.
 
CALZINI – Bumped by another runner, which shifted out on jumping. Overraced in the early stages.
 
Race 3 – Dewalt Fillies & Mares Maiden Handicap – 1400m
WIND RIVER – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
MISFITS – Inconvenienced by another runner near the 1000m and shifted wider. Then raced wide from that point onwards.
 
RONNANI – Commenced to overrace leaving the 1200m and raced ungenerously for some distance throwing its head in the air. Then hung out leaving the 800m until entering the home straight shifting wider on the track. Trainer B. Laming was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
 
Race 4 – Total Tools Burleigh Waters Every Tool, Every Trade C, G &E Maiden Handicap – 1400m
IMITARI – Slow to begin. Crowded for room leaving the 200m and had to be steadied.
 
NEMINGAH – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PICTON – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
GREYT INTENTIONS – Commenced to overrace approaching the 1200m and shifted wider and improved to obtain the lead near the 800m.
 
MAS DINERO – Overraced in the early stages.
 
Race 5 – Makita Power Tools Fillies & Mares Class 1 Handicap – 1200m
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Trainer L. White for the late declaration of A. Allen as the rider of TAVISFACTION.
 
INDY BONBON – Held up the start when becoming fractious in the barriers dislodging its rider A. Spinks. Jockey Spinks declared himself free of injury. After undergoing a veterinary examination the mare was cleared to start. Trainer T. Cotsiopoulos was advised a warning would be placed on the horse’s barrier manners. Raced wide for the majority of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained a small laceration to its lower lip. Jockey A. Spinks was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m. In considering penalty Stewards took totality into account.
 
LADY EIGHTY EIGHT – Refused to jump and took no part in the race. Trainer B. Guy was advised he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the horse before it is permitted to race again.  
 
POROTA BEAN – Slow to begin.
 
TAVISFACTION – Began awkwardly.
 
DREAMTIME MAGIC – Shifted ground under pressure in the home straight.
 
CONCEALED DYNAMITE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Following the running of this race the track was upgraded to a Good 4 retrospective.
 
 
Race 6 – Thoroughbred Sales, Find Your Next Champion Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 1 Handicap – 1200m
SAUTE – Delayed the start when proving very difficult to load. Connections were advised that they must provide a further barrier certificate before the horse is permitted to race again.
 
REPLICATION – Proved difficult to load. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s barrier manners. Improved onto the heels of another runner near the 650m and was steadied.
 
BLACKLOG – Slow to begin.
 
REPULSE – Slow to begin.
 
HALLSIDE HOT STUFF – Put in an awkward stride near the 650m when brushed by another runner.
 
TIERRA DEL FUEGO – Had a tendency to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out.
 
 
Race 7 – Bostik Smart Adhesive Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1800m
OPEN ROAD – Threw its head in the air when being restrained near the 1450m.
 
HOLLY RUN – Shifted in to obtain a position closer to the rail near the 1450m crowding another runner. Jockey J. Guthmann-Chester was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
 
ROCBOLT – Momentarily held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
Race 8 – Milwaukee Tools Australia Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1400m
Trainer P. Butterworth was fined $100 for the late declaration of Jockey S. Galloway as the rider of COUNTER MEAL.
 
VICTORY DANCE – Slow to begin.
 
TZIPORAH – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
