RACE 4: SUSCON MAXI INTEL CLASS 3 PLATE 1180m

Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred near the 600m which resulted in MOLONGLE HERO losing ground. After hearing evidence and viewing available patrol footage it was established that DIAMOND DANCER (App Ms N. Nelson), which had commenced to hang in at approximately the 700m for some considerable distance had shifted further inwards at the 600m despite the efforts of App Nelson. Simultaneously CARDA MOJO (M. Hart) had shifted ground outwards on the point of the turn making contact with MOLONGLE HERO (D. Sparks) which was forced out onto the heels of DIAMOND DANCER resulting in MOLONGLE HERO being checked and losing ground. As Stewards were of the opinion that no individual rider could be held fully responsible the matter was reported as a racing incident.

Jockey D. Sparks was reprimanded for his conduct when returning to the mounting yard after the race.

RACE 5: ENTEC CLASS B HANDICAP 1460m

LOOK FOR ROSIE – Late scratching at 3:10pm by order of Stewards acting under veterinary advice as the mare had sustained an offside hip injury after becoming cast in its stable prior to the race meeting. BROKEN FINGER – Dislodged Jockey M. Hart behind the barriers prior to the start. Jockey Hart declared himself fit to ride. Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Shifted inwards when placed under pressure near the 100m.

CENTENARIO – Slow to begin.

CENTREHALF FORWARD – Slow to begin.

SPY CI – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reasons why MYTANG, ridden by Jockey J. Felix, fell and Jockey Ms K. Aho was dislodged from her mount (GONDWANA BAY) near the 1300m. Evidence was taken from Ms K. Aho, Jockey Ms C. Jokic (HELLOW HARA), Jockey A. Holt (ROBABANK) and Jockey M. Abe (SPY CI).
