TOWNSVILLE TURF CLUB 10 APRIL 2018
 
Race 3: UBET BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1300M
MAGIC BELINDA – Trainer G. Hughes subsequently, following the mares unplaced run at the above meeting advised Stewards the horse has pleased him since returning to its stable and whilst being   monitored will proceed with its preparation. He further advised it is his intention to have the mare race    off the pace at its next start should circumstances permit in that it may finish its races off stronger.

Stewards inquired into the reason S. Giddo worked in registered stables when not the holder of the appropriate licence to do so. After hearing submissions, Mr Giddo pleaded guilty to a charge under LR7 (b) & (e) in that he did work in registered stables when not the holder of the appropriate licence to do so    and was fined the sum of $200.00
As apprentice A. Thomson was unable to claim down to her declared riding weight in Race 1 – SWEET JUDY, Race 2 – PRINCESS SIDEREUS, Race 4 – WISTARI and Race 5 – INVERNESS EXPRESS, she was fined the sum of $300.00 under the provision of AR92(12).  
 
 
RACE 1: RACING QLD QTIS 2YO MAIDEN  H’CAP 1000M  
 
HERE’S TO IT – Slow to begin.
 
ROTH’N’BELL  – Slow to begin.
 
PURPLE GREY – Laid out when placed under pressure leaving the 200m and continued to do so shifting wider on the track.

ROCKETHEAD – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider P. Cullen ad vised Stewards in his opinion the filly was entirely comfortable on today’s track surface.
ARTE ET MARTE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Following the running of this event the track was downgraded to a Heavy 8.
 
RACE 2: RADIO 4KZ BENCHMARK 50 H’CAP – 1000M 
 
WANTABETHEONE – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start and was low to begin.
 
 SUPAMETEOR – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
PRINCESS SIDEREUS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TIPSY ROCKET – Slow into stride.
 
THE KAWKE ETERNAL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 

RACE 3: TABLELAND VET SERVICES BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1000M 
 
DEXTEROUS – Began awkwardly.
 
HIDDEN IN HEAVEN – Began awkwardly and shied away on jumping when it’s inside barrier gate sprung back. This was brought to the starter’s attention. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
ONE FOR THE MONEY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ROAD FOX – Raced in restricted room shortly after the start and was buffeted between runners for a short distance when TUSCAN FALLS (C. Jokic) laid in despite the efforts of its rider forcing HIDDEN IN HEAVEN inwards.
 
TUSCAM FALLS – Laid in shortly after the start placing runners to its inside in restricted room.
 
HIDDEN IN HEAVEN – Forced inwards by another runner shortly after the start and had to be restrained.

 
RACE 4: GOONDI SCOUTS MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M 
 
ALPINE MAGIC – Turned its head to the near side as the start was effected and lost ground.Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
DAESY DENORO  – Slow to begin.
 
SPREAD THE NEWS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BLOND ELEMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
RACE 5: TELESAT SERVICES BENCHMARK 55 H'CAP – 1500M 
 
BUSH VERSION – Became fractious in the barriers as the start was effected, bounded in the air and lost ground.
 
OUR LITTLE MIRACLE – Rider P. Cullen advised stewards following the race the mare was  not comfortable in today’s track conditions and did not travel at any stage of the race.
 
SURF SKI – Following today’s disappointing performance trainer P. Rowe advised that the gelding would now be retired from racing.  
 
BARWON – Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn having to be steadied when becoming awkwardly placed on heels.
