MISS MARLO Got its down and then reared as the gates opened dislodging jockey V. Venkaya. Jockey Venkaya was attended to by ambulance officers and cleared to ride for the remainder of the day. Trainer H. Forster was advised the mare would have to pass a barrier trial to stewardds satisfaction prior to racing again.
SIDEREUS SMILE Reared as the gates opened and jumped awkwardly then raced wide for the majority.

MONTIRO Reared as the gates opened causing the gelding to be slow away and then resented the kickback and travelled wide throughout.

A DEPENDANT Raced into restricted room between the 1000m and 800m striking the rail on several occasions and becoming awkward on heels.

Leaving the 400 metres, when it resented the dust and kickback, bounded and raced ungenerously and was retired from the event.
