Race 1: WELCOME TO THE GREATER WESTERN ZONE MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres
 
Jockey K. Ballard was permitted to ride 1/2kg overweight on SHERIFF KENDALL but was reminded of his obligation when accepting rides.
 
NOBLE THOUGHT – Fractious prior to the start then dipped on jumping causing the gelding to be slow away.
 
SHERIFF KENDELL – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
THE MARSHALL – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for the majority.
 
CHEEKY CHOPS – Tightened for room momentarily approaching the 350m when an outside runner shifted ground.
 
SHE DEVEL – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
RED RED ROSE -- Fractious in gates prior to jumping, jumped away awkwardly contacting an outside runner, then shifted in nearing the 350m inconveniencing an inside runner.
 
DREAM OF FRANCE – Contacted at the start.
 
Race 2: LONGREACH JOCKEY CLUB QTIS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres 
 
CHARLES – Jumped inwards heavily contacting and inside runner.
 
LONG STORY SHORT – Heavily contacted at the start.
 
DUCK IN DUBAI – Slow into stride. Apprentice D. McGillivrary advised stewards that his saddle had slipped on the gelding proving difficult to ride out.
 
DRAGON IN THE NORTH – Slow into stride and travelled wide for the majority.
 
AQUAGEM – Hung in down the home straight.
 
WICKED GRIMSHAW – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
KURIL FOX – Jumped inwards and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
IMAGINALTHEPEOPLE – Slow to begin.

Race 3: THANK YOU RQ QTIS BM55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres  
 
 
MS WICKED NICCI – Jumped inwards bumping ACHADE on several occasions.
 
ACHADE – Contacted at the start.
 
COOL RAIN – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
OUR GIRL TAMIYA – Fractious prior to the start, dipped and knuckled at the start nearly dislodging the jockey, taking several strides to rebalance.
 
REBEL SAGA – Slow to begin and slow to muster speed. Jockey K. Ballard advised that the mare resented the dusty track conditions.
 
SNIP’N’DRIPT – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
SPALLINA – Hampered at the start when an outside runner jumped inwards, causing the filly to be slow away.
 
TOP EVIE – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
SAME OLD STORY – Jumped inwards at the start contacting an inside runner.
 
 
 
Race 4: ARTHUR MOODY MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres      
 
Jockey K. Ballard was dislodged at the barriers and treated by ambulance officers and later transported to the hospital for further examination and observation. ALFIARTO was a late scratching at 1.04pm. Once the horse was regathered a veterinary inspection was undertaken with no adverse findings.
 
I AM A LAD – Shifted out in the straight making contact momentarily with MEDIA VITA.
 
 MARBEL DUKE – Jockey M. Gray requested to view the patrol footage of the start prior to correct weight being given to see if the gelding was afforded a fair start. On reviewing the footage, it was noted the outside gate did slightly hamper the horse but not enough to be declared a non-runner. Knuckled at the start causing the gelding to be slow away.
 
MEDIA VITA – Travelled wide for much of the race then contacted in the straight as another runner shifted ground.
 
BENCHI PEGASUS – Slow to muster speed.
 
LEO’S EXPRESS – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
CHIEF ADVOCATE – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
 
Race 5: LEST WE FORGET CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres 
 
There was a delay to the start of race 5 to await the return of the ambulance to course.
 
TIME FOR US – Slow to muster speed.
 
GRANVILLE ISLAND – Travelled wide for much of the race and hung in down the home straight under pressure.
 
DOCAROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
HOT CHOCOLATE – Hung in down the home straight under pressure.
 
OUR SAY – Travelled wide in the middle stages and lay in over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 6: THANK YOU MEMBERS CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 metres
 
 
GOLDSAY – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
GREY FALCON – Stood flat footed in the gates missing the start by several lengths. Trainer R. Little was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding regarding barrier manners.
 
HARVEY STAR – D. McGillivray was the replacement rider for K. Ballard.
 
LUBYOUFOREVER – Reared on jumping nearly dislodging the jockey and causing the gelding to be slow away then travelled wide for much of the race. Trainer D. Rewald was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding regarding its barrier manners.
 
 
 
Race 7: SHELL LONGREACH SERVICE CENTRE CLASS 5 PLATE – 1300 metres
 
BUON NATALE – Slow to begin.
 
MISHNAH – Jumped away awkwardly. Jockey D. Rewald was reprimanded regarding his whip use on the gelding.
 
ARGENTO PERLO – Jockey D. Ballard was permitted to ride 1kg overweight but was reminded of his obligation when accepting rides.
 
ROSEXCEL – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
THUNDER – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
 
Race 8: DIGGERS CUP 2020 OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 metres
 
HUNTER ISLAND – Lay in down the home straight.
 
MADAM SHAZAM – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
OUR BEATNIK -- Jockey J. Hoopert was the replacement rider for K. Ballard.
 
MENACING – Reared as the gates opened losing ground.
 
STYLISH LUCK and BARBERANCE bumped on jumping.
