Race 1: Sutherland Family Class 4 H’cap – 1000m  
 
FRISKIER – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CHATEAU MAROUX – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MOZZINATOR – Shifted wider approaching the 400m and raced very wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 2: Adept Contractors Class B  H’cap – 1000m 
 
WAT TOO SASSY – Blundered on jumping. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages of the race.
 
DIVA MISS – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BUD RICKS – Raced in restricted room near the 800m and when being restrained raced ungenerously for a short distance.
 
AMAZAN – Commenced to shift in leaving the 100m and near the 50m made heavy contact with anther runner. Rider T. Doyle was severely reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
 
FAIRFACTS – Bumped heavily near the 50m becoming unbalanced and shifted in hampering another runner.
 
HARD LOVE – Hampered near the 50m by another runner which shifted in.
 
Race 3: Top Tune Maiden Plate – 1170m 
 
STARKIN – Was declared a late scratching at 2.42pm when it refused to load. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on the gelding were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 12 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 11 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable. Trainer J. Manzelmann, was advised he must provide a further barrier certificate prior to horse being permitted to race again.      
 
CHANGING CURRENCY– Slow to begin. Shifted wide rounding the home turn.
 
TUSCAN TENOR – Slow to begin.
 
KNIGHT FIGHT – Raced wide in the early stages of the race. Raced greenly for the majority of the race.
 
MR PALOMINO – Shifted out abruptly soon after passing the winning post dislodging apprentice A. Thompson before being quickly recaptured. Trainer J. Manzelmann, was advised the colt must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to horse being permitted to race again. Apprentice Thompson was examined by the ambulance officers and cleared of any injury. A veterinary examination of MR PALOMINO revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 4: CFMEU Change The Rules QTIS Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1170m 
 
DRUMSHOW – Dislodged apprentice E. Bell during in its preliminary and was recaptured after cantering a short distance. Apprentice Bell was examined by the ambulance officers and cleared of any injury. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and the gelding was cleared to start. Slow to begin.   
 
CAPTAIN ADRIATIC – Slow to begin.
 
LIKER – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 800m and was restrained.
 
BLOSSOM – Raced very wide rounding the home turn.
 
SPUR WITH EASE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CAPTAINS PICK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
