Race 1: FKG ROAD BASE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1000m
 
FIDEREUS – Slow to begin.
 
STYLISH SON – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
MAKE AMENDS – Trainer advised stewards that it was his intention to instruct his rider to attempt settle further forward in today’s event if circumstances permitted. Stood flat footed as the start was effected and as a result was slow to begin (10 lengths). Trainer D Jones was advised that MAKE AMENDS would be required to jump satisfactorily in a barrier trial prior to accepting for a future race.
 
Race 2: CFMEU MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
 
CERTIFIED – Slow to begin.
 
JACK’S DREAM – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not competing in the past 12 months and was passed fit to start.
 
SHE’S GOT TICKETS – When questioned regarding the performance of SHE’S GOT TICKETS, Jockey M Haley stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding throughout the race, raced greenly and may not have handled the dirt surface. He added that he advised connections that the Mare may take benefit from the application of blinkers. Trainer Mr D Jones advised that the mare had pleased in its work leading into today’s event and would experiment with the mares gear prior to next start.
 
DUTCH ROCKET – Knuckled on jumping away and as a result shifted in abruptly.
 
 
Race 3: COOLIBAH CLASS B HANDICAP – 1170m
 
MARZENA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not competing in the past 12 months and was passed fit to start. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
DIVINIUS – Slow into stride.
 
Race 4: QTAD TRAINING OPEN PLATE – 1170m
 
THIN DISGUISE – Knuckled on jumping away.
 
Race 5: ISAAC REGIONAL COUNCIL SPRING BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1400m
 
BON WARRIOR – Held for clear running from the vicinity of the 300m and was obliged to shift in to improve into clear running.
 
SYNONYMS – Raced wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
