Race 1: Book Functions At Event Centre QTIS 2yo Maiden H’cap – 1100m
 
ST BRUNO – Began awkwardly. Hampered near the 200m and was steadied.  Jockey J. Stanley was admonished for his use of his whip on a horse out of contention.
 
LOLLIPOP ROCKET – Jumped inwards at the start tightening runners to its inside.  Shifted in when racing greenly approaching the 200m, hampering another runner.
 
MISS MANIBEL – Fractious during its preliminary, dislodging rider S. Sheargold.  Jockey Sheargold declared himself free of injury. The horse was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start and was cleared to race. Tightened for room on jumping away.
 
LAST CHANCE – Jumped inwards at the start, hampering another runner.  Commenced to hang out leaving the 600m and shifted wider rounding the home turn, forcing another runner wider. Raced greenly for the majority of the race.
 
CRAIGLEA ELLA – Tightened for room at the start and had to be steadied.
 
CRAIGLEA ARION – Shifted in near the 1000m, bumping another runner. Forced wider near the 900m by another runner and again rounding the home turn.
 
MATE’S RATES – Shifted out near the 1000m, bumping another runner, and then commenced to overrace for a short distance and shifted out near the 900m forcing another runner wider.
 
 
Race 2: Smart State Vehicle Rentals Maiden H’cap – 1050m
 
I’M AMBRYM – As R. Payne was not riding at today’s meeting she was replaced by C. Jokic.
 
TEN GOAL POLO – Bumped with another runner on jumping and became unbalanced and shifted in, inconveniencing another runner.
 
MISHANI LA SCALA – Bumped by another running on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PALM SPRINGS – Tightened for room on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT – Tightened for room on jumping. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
WAY TOO SASSY – Jumped inwards at the start, tightening runners to its inside. Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
TRISTINITE – Slow into stride.
 
JINGAS – Inconvenienced by another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. Commenced to hang out rounding the home turn, shifting wider, and then commenced to hang in in the home straight, proving difficult to ride out.  Trainer J. Campeao was advised a warning will be placed on geldings racing manners.

Race 3: Become A Member MTC Class 4 H’cap – 1200m
 
STRONG WILL – Slow to begin.
 
LE CHIFFRE – Slow to begin. Overraced in the early stages. Rider J. Stanley explained on return to scale that, in his opinion, the gelding did not appreciate today’s firm track surface.
 
KING TORIO – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider D Evans was at a loss to explain the gelding’s performance today, other than it was very disappointing. Trainer R. Bowen will be interviewed at a later date. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be stepping short in the off hind leg and a swab sample was taken from the horse.
 
 
Race 4: Channel Seven Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1050m
 
HI SUGAR – Slow to begin.
 
CYCLONE FUGITIVE – Slow to begin. Forced wider near the 900m by another runner. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
HE’S ALL HEART – Blundered and lost ground at the start. Held up for clear running entering the home straight until a point leaving the 100m when able to shift out and then finished the race off strongly.

RAGNAR LODBROK – Commenced to overrace near the 900m and had to be steadied off heels shifting out forcing another runner wider.   
 
Race 5: Payne Print Benchmark 60 H’cap – 1300m
 
MAC’S METTLE – Slow to begin.
 
KILLER LOVE – Slow to begin.
 
AMULETO – Slow to begin.
 
LAMERICAN – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 6: Happy New Year From MTC Open H’cap – 1050m
 
TINTO ELEMENTO – Began very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR – Slow to begin.
 
BRADMAN – Slow to begin.
 
CHARCOAL MELODY – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Blundered on jumping away.
 
MAN OF DESTINY – Commenced to shift out under pressure leaving the 200m, forcing other runners wider.  Rider H. Phillips was severely reprimanded and advised to stop riding and straighten her mounts when shifting ground. Miss Phillips was fined the sum $200 in that she used her whip in an excessive manner prior to the 100m.
 
EJAY ATOM – Hampered by another runner leaving the 200m and until passing the 100m.
 
FINAL HOPE – Hampered by another runner when leaving the 200m until leaving the 100m.
 
Race 7: Join The 100 Club Class 3 Plate – 1560m
 
RUSTY SCOOTER – Slow to begin.
 
INFANTRY – Raced wide in the early stages.
