Race 1: CBG PARTNERS MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200m
 
BORROMEO – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TRUST ISSUES – Slow to begin.
 
DUBAI ME A SAGA – Slow into stride.
 
LONROADTOFLY – Laid in near the 400m having to be corrected off heels.   
 
DEEJAYBEAT – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 2: TAB QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050m
 
KEPTINTHEDARK – Delayed the start when broke through the front of the barriers. After being quickly restrained and returned to the barriers and undergoing a veterinary examination was cleared to start. Shifted out abruptly under pressure near the 150m before being   corrected.     
 
HARRINGTON – Took fright when another runner broke through the front of the barriers becoming momentarily cast. After undergoing a veterinary examination was declared a late scratching at 2.35pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight all monies were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions to be applicable.   
 
8 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
12 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place
8 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
6 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
Trainer J. Manzelmann, was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to it being permitted to race again.
 
DAKIEL LASS – Slow to begin.
 
LLANO – Shifted out at the start bumping with another runner.
 
PEONY ROSE – Shifted in at the start bumping with another runner. Correct weight was delayed to allow rider A. Sewell to view the patrol film to ascertain if he had grounds to lodge an objection against the winner. After viewing the footage he declined to proceed.  
 
GOLDEN TREASURE – Began awkwardly.
 
LADY AKNA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: PAYNE PRINT CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1100M
 
GREAT WINGS – Shifted out at the start bumping with another runner.
 
SOLOMON – Shifted in at the start bumping with another runner.
 
CELEBRATION DAY – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
JUZOU – Raced wide in the early stages of the race.
 
WAY TOO SASSY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SWIGLARS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SFILZA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 4: VERIS BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1300M
 
GLOBAL ROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
TESTA BOOM – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ZATORIO – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow post-race recovery.  
 
 

 
Race 5: DWAYNE CASEY ELECTRICAL CLASS 6 PLATE – 1560M  
 
ELLE A WALKING – Threw its head in the air near the 1200m when being restrained from the  heels of another runner which shifted in.
 
DRUMEOUS – Shifted in near the 1200m inconveniencing another runner. Rider S. Wiseman was reprimanded and advised to be fully clear when shifting ground.
 
Race 6: LASER CLINICS AUST MACKAY RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 H’CAP – 1560M
 
LUVYA BEAK – Delayed the start when broke through the front of the barriers prior to the start due to another horse becoming fractious in the barriers. After being quickly restrained and returned to the barriers and undergoing a veterinary examination, was cleared to start.
 
ARCHIES SON – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
STYLISH LUCK – Slow to begin. Restrained off heels for some distance leaving the 1200m when over-racing. Had difficulties obtaining clear running in the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
CAPTAIN TOM – Slow to begin.
 
JUSTALAD – Over-raced in the middle stages and as a result shifted wider leaving the 1050m racing wide from that point onwards.
 
SHELTER LADY – Bumped on the hindquarters becoming unbalanced leaving the 300m by another runner which laid in. Shifted out under pressure approaching the winning post bumping with another runner.
 
FLAT TO STACK – Laid in under under pressure soon after entering the home straight bumping another runner on the hindquarters. Bumped by another runner which shifted out under pressure approaching the winning post.  
 
MIAZUMI – When questioned regarding its poor performance rider C. Jokic advised stewards the mare raced flat today and in her opinion may have come to the end of its preparation. Trainer O. Cairns agreed with Ms Jokic’s comments and advised it is now her intention that the horse be sent for an immediate spell. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.     
 
Race 7: SMART STATE VEHICLE RENTALS OPEN H’CAP - 1100M
 
PALLADIAN – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race. When questioned into the disappointing performance rider D. Simmons stated that whilst racing wide the gelding still travelled well however failed to let down when placed under pressure. Trainer K. Hansen who had left the course will be interviewed at a later date.     
 
YOU KNOW THE ONE – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
TRERICE – Began awkwardly, then tightened for room and lost ground.
 
JACK LANCASTER – Had difficulties obtaining clear running the early part of the home straight.
 
RAGAZZO DEL CORSA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a minor laceration to its near hind fetlock.
