RACE 1: HARBOURSIDE COLDSTORES, SWEETER SOIL, CAMILLERI EARTHMOVING MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
 
The start of this race delayed when the RFDS was late arriving on course.
 
MR PALAMINO – Delayed the start further when it dislodged its rider during its preliminary cantering a short distance before being caught, was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start and was cleared to start. Rider A. Thomson declared herself free of injury to fulfil her engagements. Bumped heavily at the start and lost ground.
 
BIBIA BE YE YE – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping another runner. Became unbalanced near the 300m and lost ground.
 
MY BOY TICKETS – Steadied near the 850m when crowded for room.
 
EYNHALLOW – Steadied near the 850m when crowded for room.
 
TELLOFF – Shifted in near the 850m crowding runners to its inside. Rider C. Jokic, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
 
RATHDOWNEY AVENUE – Slow into stride. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages of the race.    
RACE 2: GF RURAL FNQ “NIMMO PLATE” CLASS 3 PLATE – 1000M
 
RAINING DOLLARS – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide in the early stages.  
 
DUNNYS STAR – Slow to begin.
 
FINCH – Slow to begin.
 
BEYOND LIMITS – When questioned into the filly’s disappointing performance rider A. Thomson stated the horse travelled well in the early and middle stages of the race however failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure and in her opinion was disappointing. Trainer R. Ludwig was at a loss to explain the performance other than the filly may not have appreciated today’s firm track and gave an undertaking to advise Stewards should anything come to his attention in the near future that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
CHAT TIME – Raced wide leaving the 600m for the remainder of the race.    
 
RACE 3: MURPHY MEMORIAL “VICE PRESIDENT PLATE” – 1200M
 
OLSSEN – Slow to begin.
 
FAB FOUR – Slow to begin.
 
SUPERSTITION – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PRIMED FOR ACTION – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
COBUNGRA BOY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CASINO ESCAPEE – Raced for the majority of the race.  
 
 
RACE 4: TUFF N UP CAMP LADIES BRACELET OPEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
MORE THAN A SONG – Slow to begin.
 
TURN UP THE VOLUME – Slow to begin.
 
DON’T TELL PETE – Slow into stride.
 
MINNIE STREET – Over-raced in the early stages throwing its head in the air.
 
MISHANI GLADIATOR – Raced wide for the majority of the race with no cover. 
 
 
RACE 5: COLLINS FAMILY/UNDARA & TOPX L’REACH “FULFORD PLATE” QTIS BM50 H’CAP (1) – 1400M
 
ULTRA RED – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CATHEDRAL CITY – Slow to begin.
 
SYDNEY HARBOUR – Slow to begin.
 
THE GIRLS IN PARIS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MADEMOISELLE ZARIZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race.    
 
RACE 6: COLLINS FAMILY/UNDARA & TOPX L’REACH “FULFORD PLATE” QTIS BM50 H’CAP (2) – 1400M
 
YIFAN – Shifted in shortly after the start inconveniencing another runner. Rider K. Rockett, was severely reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort to prevent his mounts from shifting in, in similar circumstances. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CORONATION JOURNEY – Restrained shortly after the start and lost ground when tightened for room.
 
INVERNESS EXPRESS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
