SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Rockhampton 16th July 2015:

Trainer J. McConachy reported that on returning to the stables, DOTHERIGHTTHING was exhibiting a cough, which he attributed to a previous tie-back operation, and was treated with antibiotics.

Race 1: XXXX Gold QTIS 2YO Handicap - 1200 metres
1st DUAN OSCAR 2nd LEGAL PROCEDURE 3rd CRAIGLEA DEKEN 4th - CHARSON'S GIFT

CHARSON'S GIFT - Began awkwardly. Near the 600 metres shied at some debris on the track, shifted out and took BUCK THE SYSTEM out onto ZANNYAH, which in turn was taken out onto OUR BOY HOUDINI.

BUCK THE SYSTEM - At the start shifted in onto LEMON PEPPER, which was taken in onto CRAIGLEA ALTISE, which was hampered and lost some ground. Rider reported that her mount hung out throughout the event.

LEGAL PROCEDURE - Slow to begin. Stewards questioned Jockey Hellyer regarding the riding performance of the gelding. He said that he pressured the gelding to maintain contact with the rear of the field. He stated that his mount raced dour in the early and middle stages and he was of the opinion that it was looking for races over a longer distance, and he was mindful of the heavy impost of 59kg. He added that the gelding had come to the end of its preparation. Trainer L. Rowe confirmed that the horse will now be spelled.

OUR BOY HOUDINI - Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.

CRAIGLEA DEKEN - Hung out slightly near the 600 metres, and near the 500 metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

CRAIGLEA ALTISE - Jockey J. Watkins will be questioned with regard to the use of his whip.

ZANNYAH- Inclined to lay out and shift ground on occasions in the straight.

Race 2: Callaghan Park Functions & Events Centre QTIS Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st ALLGIRL 2nd RESET OUR WORLD 3rd CATCH A GLIMPSE 4th - THE EUNUCH

ESPRIT LIGHT - Trainer T. Williams was fined $100 under L.R. 67 for the late declaration of Jockey J Stephens as rider of the mare. Given consideration to the mare’s manners and prior record in being loaded, Mr Williams was advised that the mare would be restricted to non-TAB meetings and if the horse behaves in a similar manner at the barriers it may be barred to a series of trials.

CATCH A GLIMPSE - Trainer C. Garland was fined $100 under L.R. 67 for the late declaration of Jockey T. O'Hara as rider of the filly.

The start was delayed when ESPRIT LIGHT, ALLGIRL and BATTLERS TOO proved difficult to load into the barriers

BATTLERS TOO - When BATTLERS TOO refused to load, stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 1.54 p.m. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on BATTLERS TOO be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:

2¢ in the dollar for the win for the winner, ALLGIRL
2¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, ALLGIRL
2¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, RESET OUR WORLD
2¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, CATCH A GLIMPSE

Trainer D. Schultz was advised that BATTLERS TOO must obtain a further barrier certificate.

ELIZA BELLE- Shortly after the start attempted to buck. Trainer R. West will be advised that the mare must trial satisfactorily in a gallop over at least 800 metres in race day gear before being permitted to race again.

CHAIN THE GATE - Began awkwardly.

MORE VALUE- Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 3: Springton Park Spelling Farm Class 1 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st ROCK OF FREEDOM 2nd SOLE ILLUSION 3rd TREMONT 4th - MOSSIMO

TATONE - Began a little awkwardly.

DECLINED - Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event. Near the 1050 metres shifted out when the riderless horse improved to its inside, AYBESEE shifted out and SPANNA had to be checked from the heels of AYBESEE. A post-race veterinary examination of DECLINED revealed that the gelding had sustained a laceration to the near hind leg.

DAM FLASH - Knuckled on jumping and dislodged its rider, Jockey J. Watkins, who was transported to hospital for observation. Rider changes were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

AYBESEE - Near the 900 metres over-raced, when being restrained and lost ground and caused DUAN MAJOR which was following, to be checked. Near the 500 metres shifted out, at which time MOSSIMO commenced to shift out. As a result RED RYDER was forced to shift outwards.

DUAN MAJOR - Checked near the 900 metres.

KERNEL - Near the 400 metres had to be checked when the riderless horse shifted in. Checked near the 300 metres.

TREMONT - Near the 300 metres laid in and shifted ground marginally and caused KERNEL to be taken in onto the hindquarters of ROCK OF FREEDOM (A. Butler), which shifted out whilst being ridden along and caused KERNEL to be checked from its heels. In the circumstances Jockey Butler was reprimanded. Over the concluding stages, was tightened between runners and checked.

DOTHERIGHTHING - When questioned with regard to his riding out of his mount over the concluding stages, Jockey C. Whiteley stated that leaving the 300 metres he clipped the heels of the riderless horse and had to be checked. Jockey Whiteley said that in consideration of the welfare of his horse and his own safety, he failed to ride his mount out to the line.

ROCK OF FREEDOM - Over the concluding stages the riderless horse shifted out and dictated the gelding outwards.

SOLE ILLUSION - When questioned regarding his instructions and the performance of his mount Jockey D. Evans stated that he was instructed to ride the gelding quietly early, rather than be caught wide from its wide draw, and to restrain his mount and take up a position towards the rear of the field. Jockey Evans said that once he was positioned towards the rear of the field the horse relaxed and travelled well. He added that once placed under pressure SOLE ILLUSION responded and finished the race off well.

Race 4: South Geldard Lawyers QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1200 metres
1st RECTIFIER 2nd MISTER BOOZE 3rd OUTBACK SAGA 4th - GOHARDASUN

EEJAY STYLE - Jumped awkwardly and shifted out onto another runner.

MAMSELLE CORDAY- Contact with another runner at the start.

QUICK ASSAULT - Made contact with another runner on jumping.

CLAPPERS - Contacted by another runner on jumping. Hung out near the 900 metres and near the 700 metres was eased from the heels of another runner, hung out further and raced wide without cover. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. A warning will be placed on the racing manners of the gelding.

ABANDONED LOVE - Rider reported that his mount was inclined to hang out throughout and raced wide without cover.

Race 5: Victoria Tavern Class 2 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st TRACONI 2nd RACING HARADA 3rd MADAM PINK 4th - WAR NOISE

ELLE THE MODEL - Slow to begin.

TRICKY BOY - Jumped in onto another runner at the start.

OUTBACK SAPPER- Hampered at the start when another runner jumped inwards.

SPACE COMMANDER - Near the 900 metres shifted in and away from WAR NOISE and in the middle stages was inclined to hang out.

ZARADA ANGEL - Shifted out at the start, raced wide without cover.

DANE CHEVAL - Raced wide throughout.

Race 6: Aspinall Racing BM70 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st - JUST CALL ME LOUIE 2nd - RIVARIVA 3rd - IOWNAPRINCE 4th - FAST FOCUS

RIVARIVA - Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages.

DASH FOR VIZ - Slow to begin.

GO DIGGER - Raced wide without cover.

IOWNAPRINCE- Began awkwardly with its head in the air.

AGADIR - Raced wide throughout. Over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between GO DIGGER and STRAIFFIC, which rolled in and had to be eased.

PYGMY HUNTER - Leaving the 1000 metres over-raced and shifted out away from the heels of another runner.

Race 7: Bacardi Lion BM65 Handicap - 1600 metres
1st - BARCELON BOUND 2nd - HOYWEDGE 3rd - CRACKER NIGHT 4th - WILD GODSON

WHAT'S YOUR SECRET - Jumped in at the start and made contact with MANILA ACADEMY, then shifted back in, made contact with RADIANT JOY and became unbalanced.

CLAPSED - Jumped awkwardly and made contact with VALJEAN. Raced wide without cover throughout.

VALJEAN - Contacted by another runner at the start, then raced wide throughout.

MAUGHAN - Broke down near the 600 metres and was retired from the race. A veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained an injury to its near fore fetlock and was subsequently euthanased.

WILD GODSON - Rider reported that his mount was inclined to lay out over the final 400 metres.
MANILA ACADEMY - Near the 1200 metres momentarily eased when ROFRANOZ shifted in slightly.
