SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Rockhampton 13th August 2015

Race 7: WAR NOISE - Trainer J. O'Sing reported that the gelding pulled up fine following the event and will be nominated for a race at Yeppoon over 1400 metres.

Race 1: Centre State Signs QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap - 1300 metres
1st CRAIGLEA WANDOO 2nd CRAIGLEA ZIP 3rd CAIGLEA ALTISE 4th - CRAIGLEA THUNDER

CRAIGLEA ALTISE - When stewards were advised that Jockey A. Taylor would be unable to arrive on time to ride the gelding, T. O’Hara was substituted.

CRAIGLEA WANDOO - Slow to begin.

CRAIGLEA ZIP - Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 2: BFB Scaffolding Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st ESPRIT LIGHT 2nd THE EUNUCH 3rd OUR SINGLE DOUBT 4th - FOR THE LADIES

CAN'T ESCAPE ME - Began awkwardly and lost some ground.

ELIZA BELLE - At the start tightened for room between other runners, both of which shifted ground.

WHITE SQUALL – Shifted in at the start. Raced wide throughout.

ON THE WICKET - Shifted out at the start.

MISS RICH - Near the 900 metres had to be eased when racing tight to the inside of ALADEAN.

ALADEAN - Raced wide without cover throughout.

GROVER - Rider reported that her mount raced ungenerously and was inclined to hang out throughout.

CAFÉ QUEEN - Jockey reported that his mount commenced to tire from the 100 metres and laid out under pressure.

ESPRIT LIGHT - When questioned regarding the performance, trainer T. Williams stated that the mare had been in work since April and had performed in three official jump-outs this preparation. He said that Esprit Light was second up after a spell today and had matured in its training and racing.

Race 3: Wilpeena Cattle Co Class 1 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st ABANDONED LOVE 2nd HAMILTON 3rd FERRIGNO 4th - INTRUDING

WHAT A STAR - Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer C. Garland informed stewards that he will have a blood analysis of the gelding and report any significant findings.

POINT LEO - Shortly after the start was restrained to take up a position closer to the inside running rail.

VIKING GOOD THING - Raced wide without cover.

DECLINED - Leaving the 1200 metres raced to the outside of HAMILTON and commenced to improve, however from that point raced 3 wide without cover.

INTRUDING - Jockey reported that his mount was inclined to lay in over the final 200 metres.

Race 4: RJC Annual Racing Awards Dinner Sat 29th August BM70 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st BARCELONA BOUND 2nd IOWNAPRINCE 3rd MURTLE MISS 4th - DARK ANGEL

BARCELONA BOUND and MURTLE MISS - Made contact at the start.

IOWNAPRINCE - Began awkwardly.

UP AND ABLAZE - Near the 900 metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner and had to be steadied.

VANCOUVER GOLD - Raced wide without cover.

Race 5: XXXX Gold Class 1 Handicap - 1600 metres
1st ALLGIRL 2nd MORE VALUE 3rd VIRTUITY 4th - MISHANI DE NIRO

The start was delayed to permit the broadcast of an interstate event.

ROSE OF TRAVESTON - Began a little awkwardly, lost some ground, then raced wide without cover. Jockey reported that he became concerned with the action of the horse's off hind near the 200 metres and therefore did not ride his mount along. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare may have clipped its off hind fetlock and was mildly lame.

TREMONT - When questioned, Jockey B. Stewart stated that the gelding was disappointing. He said that he obtained a favourable position and raced well throughout the early and middle stages, however in the latter stages of the home straight failed to finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer J. McConachy.

Race 6: Racing at Yeppoon -Thursday 10th September Class 3 Plate - 1050 metres
1st - ANORO 2nd - ABOVE US 3rd - TRICKY BOY 4th - KHAANTANTES

SET TO POUNCE - Was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Slow to begin. Lost its near fore plate on jumping.

ELLE THE MODEL- Slow to begin.

PERMISSION GRANTED - Raced wide without cover. Commenced to lay out under pressure near the 400 metres which allowed ANORO improved to its inside.

SHARDAY - Raced wide without cover.

SWEET AND SAVAGE - Raced wide throughout.
