SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Rockhampton Saturday, 17th October 2015: Race 6: BenchMark 70 Handicap
Trainer C. Smith reported to stewards that GAMBACCINI had pulled up fine. He attributed the performance to the firm track conditions. Mr Smith added that a blood analysis had been done and he undertook to advise stewards of any abnormality.

Emerald, Saturday 10th October 2015
Trainer R Simpson reported that x-rays of ME MYSELF AND I revealed the gelding to have a fractured sesamoid in the off foreleg. The gelding would now be spelled.

LATE RIDING CHANGES

As Apprentice M. Haley was unable to claim his full allowance, Apprentice R. Payne was substituted as the rider of MISHANI ISTANA in Race 1 and Apprentice Q. Krogh was substituted as the rider of STAR OF BETHLEHEM in Race 7. When no suitable apprentice rider was available, App. Haley was permitted to claim only 1/2 kg for MANZANITA in Race 3. Apprentice Haley was fined a total of $300 under A.R.92 (12).

GENERAL

Trainer B. Crear pleaded guilty to a charge under A.R. 175(q) in that prior to the running of Race 3 he misconducted himself by abusing the veterinary surgeon in the conduct of her duty of obtaining a pre-race sample from PATENT PENDING. Mr Crear was fined $300.

Race 1: Central Park Motel QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st EVA FEROCIA 2nd THAT'S WOODY 3rd DUDOOMP 4th - WHISKEY LAD

AINT SHE WONDERFUL - Slow into stride.

WHISKEY LAD - Jumped out onto another runner at the start, made contact and shifted back in and hampered AINT SHE WONDERFUL. Jockey M. Barnham was found guilty of a charge under A.R. 137(b) in that he failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race. In the opinion of the stewards this had cost his mount third placing. Jockey Barnham was fined $500.

Race 2: Milner Constructions Maiden Plate - 1500 metres
1st FRANLYLE 2nd TICATIME 3rd THE CLANG AFFAIR 4th - MORE VALUE

BATTLERS TOO - Made contact with another runner on jumping.

GENERAL BEERS - Contacted by another runner on jumping.

AMAZZLER - Slow to begin.

THE CLANG AFFAIR - Near the 200 metres rolled in slightly, taking TICATIME inwards. At that stage SALAMENCE (App. J. Oliver) shifted ground under pressure and caused CATCH A GLIMPSE (App. N. Vuille) to be hampered.

CATCH A GLIMPSE - When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, App. Vuille stated that she was instructed to take up a handy position where her mount was comfortable in the early stages, however the mare failed to travel in the early and middle stages and lost ground. She added that when placed under pressure in the home straight finished the race off fairly.

BATTLERS TOO - Raced wide without cover.

MORE VALUE- Raced wide without cover.

Race 3: D Grays Grader & Hire BM65 Handicap - 1835 metres
1st PREEN QUEEN 2nd TIP RAT 3rd MANZANITA 4th - MURRAMARANG

MURRAMARANG - Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. A warning will be placed on the gelding's barrier manners.

MANZANITA - Slow to begin.

OZEIN - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

PREEN QUEEN - When questioned regarding her riding tactics on the mare, App. R. Payne stated that she was instructed to take up a forward position where she was comfortable, without pressuring the mare, was able to obtain the lead. Trainer B. Trimble confirmed the instructions given and was satisfied that the mare was ridden to suit today, and will be ridden in the same manner at its next start. Apprentice reported that the mare was inclined to hang out in the straight.

STATING - Stewards questioned App. J. Orman and trainer J. O'Sing regarding the performance of the gelding. App. Orman said that he was not issued any specific instructions. Bearing in mind the step up in distance and the expected pace of the event, he stated that the gelding began well and when travelling keenly in the early stages strode forward and was pressured to cross runners to its inside and near the 1300 metres was eased when another runner obtained the lead. App. Orman added that in his opinion the horse will perform better when ridden off the pace.

Race 4: Best Western The Stirling Class 2 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st GLACIER EXPRESS 2nd MISTY MONTANA 3rd HOSTILE OWNERS 4th - BARON REES

SMALL CHANGE - Made contact with another runner at the start.

SAINTLY PRO - Contacted another runner at the start.

HOSTILE OWNERS - Raced wide in the early stages.

DAM FLASH - From the 300 metres raced in restricted room to the inside of SMALL CHANGE. Stewards spoke to Apprentice Summers with regard to her persistence in obtaining a run inside of SMALL CHANGE.

Race 5: Dooley & Bryant Class 6 Plate - 1400 metres
1st EVENTIDE 2nd WILDEBEAST 3rd BIG BABA LOOEY 4th - PERFECT KNOWLEDGE

NOT SO SOBER - Fractious in the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. A further warning will be placed on the horse.

BARCELONA BOUND- Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

PERFECT KNOWLEDGE - Approaching the 200 metres rolled in slightly, taking BARCELONA BOUND inwards and causing WILDEBEAST to be eased when there was a doubtful run between BARCELONA BOUND and CUMANI. Shortly after this WILDEBEAST made contact with BARCELONA BOUND.

Race 6: USG Boral Handicap - 1050 metres
1st PHOTOBOMB 2nd FROM THE DARKNESS 3rd STAGE EXIT 4th - SPEEDING DRAGON

HATZIS - Slow to begin.

SPEEDING DRAGON - Slow to begin. Hung out in the middle stages.

STAGE EXIT - Near the 300 metres shifted out slightly and bumped UNSEEN on two occasions.

IMBOSTERIA - Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 7: Kix FM Presents Tameaka Powell Live in Concert 6 Nov F&M Class 1 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st DUREEZA 2nd STAR OF BETHLEHEM 3rd ATLANTIS CITY 4th - MISS CHARISMA

ATLANTIS CITY - Dipped shortly after the start.

STIRLING GIRL - Began a little awkwardly. Stewards questioned Jockey D. Evans regarding the performance of the filly and his riding in the straight. Jockey Evans stated that after beginning fairly he was able to take up a midfield position and had another runner racing ungenerously to his outside until making the home turn. He said that near the 500 metres he attempted to shift out to a position one off the running rail, however another runner held its ground and he was unable to do so. Near the 300 metres, he shifted to the outside of SNITZEL ROSE, however when another rolled in, he shifted to the inside of SNITZEL ROSE, where clear running room existed, however the filly did not accelerate and was not able to take advantage of that run. Near the 50 metres, when SNITZEL ROSE rolled in, he had to steady his mount and went to the line not being fully tested.

MISS HOFFA - Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.

MISS CHARISMA - Shifted in onto TARA'S RANSOM at the start.

MISHANI SPERANZA - Raced wide without cover throughout.

STAR OF BETHLEHEM - Began awkwardly and lost some ground.
