ARIGOLD – In the vicinity of the 900m had to be steadied after improving onto the heels of PLAIN ‘N’ SIMPLE.
 
BLUE SEAL – Overraced in the early stages.
 
PLAIN ‘N’  SIMPLE – Stewards permitted Jockey M Barnham to ride 4kg over his allotted weight as there was no other available rider.

Race 3: LJ Hooker Rockhampton Alan Hart Memorial Benchmark 45 H’cap - 1200m
 
BUB’S GOLD – When questioned regarding the performance of BUB’S GOLD, jockey M Barnham stated that his mount travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event but when placed under pressure in the vicinity of the 600m failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in its finishing efforts. Trainer J Lancaster stated that in her opinion BUB’S GOLD may not have handled the hot raceday conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
STREAMLINER – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
HUGS ‘N’ KISSES – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4: LJ Hooker Rockhampton Property Management Class 6 Plate – 1300m
 
MISHNAH – Stewards permitted Jockey M Barnham to ride MISNAH 1kg over its allotted weight as no other rider was available.
 
SWINGAHINCH – Hung in throughout the event.
 
Race 5: LJ Hooker Rockhampton Sales & Marketing Benchmark 69 H’cap – 1200m
 
SCORCHA – Reared on jumping away. Held up for clear running from the vicinity of the 600m to inside the 400m.
