SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
Stewards met with club officials prior to the commencement of the meeting in regards to an incident that happened following Race 4 over 1200 metres on the 22nd September. Stewards gave the direction to club officials to open a section of running rail opposite the 1200 metre start so the barriers could be moved off the track immediately after the start of Race 3 the 1200 metre maiden. Also the club was advised to have 2 staff on hand to install the section of rail immediately after the barriers had passed through.
 
Race 1: CLONMELL Benchmark 60 Handicap 800 METRES
 
After racing the previous day TIBYAAN was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
Stewards permitted Jockey A Coome to ride HOWZAT FOR LUCK half a kilogram over weight when no other rider was available.
TELLOFF turned its head to the side as the gates opened and missed the start by several lengths.
CHECKOUT ME TRAVLA knuckled on jumping and as a consequence was slow into stride.
FRAHA raced 5 wide throughout without cover.
OVER THE CHOICE raced 4 wide throughout without cover.
MUSCOVY raced 3 wide throughout without cover.
 
Race 2: NOEL O'SULLIVAN MEMORIAL/BUNDABAROO/JIM TURNER CUP BenchMark 50 Hcp 1100 METRES
 
After racing the previous day JUST FLICKINIT, ME AND YOU and HUNTING were examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
 
JUSTFLICKINIT raced wide for the majority.
 
On return to scale a protest was lodged by Jockey K Aho the rider of the 2nd place getter, JUSTFLICKINIT against SAMUEL JAMES ridden by Adrian Coome being declared 1st, alleging interference near the 120 metres. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the patrol video, stewards were satisfied that JUSTFLICKINIT had established a position to the outside of SAMUEL JAMES, which shifted out abruptly under pressure and caused JUSTFLICKIN to suffer interference. Stewards were mindful of the official margin of a short neck and were satisfied that this interference was sufficient to uphold the objection and subsequently declared correct weight on the new numbers of:
No. 2 JUSTFLICKINITT  No. 1 SAMUEL JAMESS  No. 3 ME AND YOU No. 4 MOZZINATOR
 
Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the conduct of trainer J Manzelmann towards the Stewards following the protest hearing. Mr Manzelmann did not wish to be present during the protest hearing.
 
Race 3: BETAPOLY/CLERMONT QUARRIES QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 METRES
 
After racing the previous day EXCELCAT was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
As the Twin Hills Race Club only have 10 numbers for racing stewards permitted horse 11 ROCKET ON GINGER to carry the number 10 saddle cloth as numbers 9 and 10 were scratched.
The bookmakers were notified of the number change before betting commenced and it was announced several times by the course announcer to patrons.
 
Stewards permitted Jockey M Hart to ride LADY SHIVAR over weight when no other rider was available.
Stewards permitted jockey A Coome to ride DROPPER ROCKET over weight when no other rider was available.
Stewards accepted to explanation put forward by jockeys Hart and Coome for riding overweight.
EXCELCAT proved difficult to load. Trainer Kevin Miller was advised a warning would be placed on EXCELCAT.
ROCKET ON GINGER lay in for the majority of the race.
MR PALOMINO raced wide for the majority and veered sharply to left after the finish line.
 
Race 4:EPPING FOREST/BENTLEYS TWIN HILLS CUP BenchMark 65 Handicap 1300 METRES
 
After racing the previous day JUST ONE WISH and DUDOOMP were examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
Stewards permitted jockey A Coome to ride BOYS FROM THE BUSH overweight when no other rider was available.
SHEER PERSISTENCE jumped in the air at the start and raced wide without cover throughout.
ATEACES was slow to begin and then failed to show any speed at all.
ELLE SNITZ raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5: ADANI MINING/C GUILFOYLE & ASSOC/CLERMONT VET SURGERY BenchMark 45 Hcp 1300 METRES

After racing the previous day ISIS DE VEGA and SCURRY were examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
Jockey Scott Sheargold was fined $200 for accepting two rides in this race.
RANGA ROCKET was slow to begin and then failed to show any speed at all.
CHAIN THE GATE raced wide without cover throughout.
