Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers at the request of the rider and was cleared to start. Raced three wide with cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off foreleg. The veterinary surgeon also reported that the gelding’s nearside eye requires an ophthalmology examination. Trainer J. Baker was advised that he will be required to provide a veterinary clearance and an ophthalmologist’s report prior to the gelding racing again.
