Shifted out under pressure upon straightening and near the 250m bumped heavily by HANWRITTEN and became unbalanced. When questioned as to the performance, Jockey L Cassidy stated that in his opinion the colt is better suited when able to lead and dictate terms. As a consequence, Jockey Cassidy felt that the strong tempo in the early and middle stages had a detrimental effect on the colt’s overall performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be making an abnormal respiratory sound.
