Race 6 KENTUCKY KAHN Injured in running, near fore toe, 10 days
The greyhound EL CHAD performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.25 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.
The greyhound GUNLOCH performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.92.
SHE TALKS was best to begin. COOL CREDIT was slow to begin. Entering the turn out of the back straight UNTOLD STORY was tightened for room and lost ground between COUNTRY CLASS and BERRY BEAR.
The greyhound OLYMPUS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Novice 331m
SUPER LUIGI was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MARLEY MAGIC shifted in checking SISTER KAHN and UNO EYE DON’T, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. In the back straight DASHING DIME checked off the heels of CIVIL LASS, causing that greyhound to also lose ground. Shortly after UNO EYE DON’T shifted off the heels of SISTER KAHN and lost further ground.
The greyhound UNO EYE DON’T was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – Novice 331m
FANCY SCHMANCY and BOOTYDO were best to begin. BOOKA BLACK was slow to begin. Shortly after the start FIRESTORM FLASH shifted in checking BOOKA BLACK. Approaching the 600m boxes BOOTYDO faltered losing ground. MR. MARAUDER raced wide in the top turn. Turning into the front straight FIRESTORM FLASH and WON MY HEART bumped.
Race 5 – Maiden Final 331m
ANTI AMIGO was slow to begin. Shortly after the start PERUZZI checked between ARABIAN MELODY and IAN ELROY forcing PERUZZI to lose ground. Entering the top turn EASY OFF checked off the heels of IVAN ELROY causing this greyhound to lose ground. Entering the home straight ARABIAN MELODY and IVAN ELROY collided.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 395m
KENTUCKY KAHN was slow to begin. Shortly after the start KULU KAMBALDA, COUNTRY BULLET and SECRET OCTANE raced tight and bumped. Entering the back straight MORE ARIES checked off the heels of REGATTA, resulting in SECRET OCTANE losing ground. In the back straight KENTUCKY KAHN checked off the heels of COUNTRY BULLET, resulting in KENTUCKY KAHN losing considerable ground.
The
greyhound KENTUCKY KAHN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
fore toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 395m
HARA’S DERECK was slow to begin. Entering the back straight CODY’S GRAND was tightened between ELUSIVE GLIDER and HOLLYWOOD HEARTS. HARA’S DERECK who was following was also checked as a result. In the back straight HARA’S DERECK checked off the heels of CODY’S GRAND.
The greyhound ZABALETA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – Best 8 395m
WAZZA KING was slow to begin. Shortly after the start TEJAY’S GRAND was tightened between BLACKJACK GENT and WAZZ’S FANTASY. In the back straight BLACKJACK GENT checked off the heels of SUMMER’S BUG. Entering the top turn WAZZA KING improved onto the heels of SUMMER’S BUG, resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Entering the home straight GEMMA DUAL and BLACKJACK GENT bumped. Shortly after WAZZA KING checked off the heels of WAZZ’S FANTASY.
The greyhound WAZZA KING was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
MAYWYN OODLES and KILTY JACK were slow to begin. Shortly after the start EPIC HORIZON and COUNTRY ELITE were both tightened for room and lost ground between GARDA BLUE and TRIPLE CROWN GAL, which shifted in. In the back straight KILTY JACK shifted in tightening EPIC HORIZON who lost considerable ground.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
LADY DAMA was best to begin. Shortly after the start JOSEPH ROSE HI was tightened for room and lost considerable ground between COUNTRY THUNDER and BOGART BLEND. In the back straight HIGH CLASS MISS checked off the heels of SPRITE AND POWER.
