GENERAL

 

Trainer C Graham was fined $50 under rule 48 No Catcher for ELUSIVE DESIRE.

 

Race 1 – 5th Grade 520m

FEMME JOLIE was best to begin with CYCLONE CLIFFORD slow.  Approaching the 1st turn MAGICAL DUST shifted out off the heels of WILDASH WARRIOR causing tightening to ANNIE BENZ, KILLARA, TWEED CHIC and MUM’S A LOONY.  As a result TWEED CHIC was forced to race wide through the 1st turn.  Entering the back straight KILLARA shifted out off the heels of ANNIE BENZ.  Entering the home straight TWEED CHIC shifted out off the heels of MUM’S A LOONY.

 

Race 2 – RQ Young Guns Heat 1 520m

GET INVOLVED was best to begin with ELUSIVE SPARKLE and REGINALD BENZ slow.  Approaching the 1st turn LADY ABIGAIL and REGINALD BENZ came together while MPINGO and MIDNIGHT MOMENTS raced tight.  Entering the back straight ABBY’S MAGIC shifted out off the heels of MIDNIGHT MOMENTS.  MPINGO was wide through the back straight.

 

Race 3 – RQ Young Guns Heat 2 520m

ELUSIVE DESIRE was slow to begin with VELOCITY SHIRL best to begin.  Shortly after the start QUEENIES BEST shifted in checking MINI OREO.  A short time after DYNAMITE SPEED was tightened between FLASH ZOE and SERENE STAR.  Approaching the 1st turn VELOCITY SHIRL, SERENE STAR, DYNAMITE SPEED and BULL TITAN all raced tight.  MINI OREO and ELUSIVE DESIRE which were following were inconvenienced and ELUSIVE DESIRE was forced wide through the 1st turn.  FLASH ZOE and QUEENIES BEST raced tight through the turn.  Passing the catching pen BULL TITAN and DYNAMITE SPEED came together.

 

Race 4 – RQ Young Guns Heat 3 520m

TRIGGER was slow to begin with CHEEKY CHANCE best away.  Shortly after the start CHEEKY CHANCE shifted in checking POP THE CORK.  Approaching the 1st turn CHEEKY CHANCE and FAST BEAN raced tight.  Continuing through the turn AWESOME CLOUD shifted out forcing FULL OF ATTITUDE wide.

 

The greyhound FAST BEAN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 5 – RQ Young Guns Heat 4 520m

NO CALLARATAH was best to begin.  Shortly after the start PACIFIC HARBOUR shifted in tightening TUFF IT.  Passing the winning post on the 1st occasion PACIFIC HARBOUR shifted in tightening JAYDEN LASS which lost ground.  Shortly after FABULOUS STORM, GENERAL CLOUD and NO CALLARATAH raced tight and unbalanced.  TUFF IT and JAYDEN LASS which were following were inconvenienced.  Through the 1st turn MIGHTY OAK, NO CALLARATAH and CERVELO came together, resulting in CERVELO shifting out onto the running of TUFF IT and JAYDEN LASS.

 

Race 6 – RQ Young Guns Heat 5 520m

MINNIE IMPACT was best to begin with RENOUF’S MAGIC slow.  Down the straight on the 1st occasion WAIKARIE MAGIC shifted in checking MINNIE IMPACT.  Approaching the 1st turn WAIKARIE MAGIC, DON’T GO QUIETLY and PONAHONTAS raced tight and unbalanced.  Shortly after DON’T GO QUIETLY shifted in tightening MACNIVEK.  Entering the back straight BUTCHULLA BOY was tightened between MACNIVEK and WAIKARIE MAGIC and lost ground.  Through the top turn WAIKARIE MAGIC was tightened between MACNIVEK and MINNIE IMPACT.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 600m

KNAVE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start NOT THE ONE and OKAY YETTA came together with OKAY YETTA becoming unbalanced.  Through the 1st turn OKAY YETTA and NOT THE ONE continued to race tight and both greyhounds were forced wide entering the straight.  HANNAH MARRIE was also inconvenienced.  Entering the home straight KNAVE shifted out off the heels of KIDATEE CROC colliding with STELLA NIGHTS.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 520m

GRAND ROMAN and ROSE OF GALO were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn LINE UP BUOYS and LATE ANGEL LEE raced tight with LINE UP BUOYS then proceeding to shift onto the heels of CYNDIE’S SPECIAL severely checking this greyhound.  HOUGENIE and BAGO KYSAM which were following were inconvenienced as CYNDIE’S SPECIAL lost ground.  Continuing through the turn BAGO KYSAM and CYNDIE’S SPECIAL came together.  Passing the catching pen LINE UP BUOYS shifted in tightening HOUGENIE.  Entering the back straight BAGO KYSAM and CYNDIE’S SPECIAL came together and lost significant ground.

 

The greyhound CYNDIE’S SPECIAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BAGO KYSAM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 9 – 4th Grade 520m

MARLISA was best to begin with FROSTY JAY JAY slow.  Approaching the 1st turn MELODY SERENADE and COIN OF PHRASE were tightened between MINER’S MOSS and KING ELLIOT.  As a result MELODY SERENADE lost ground.  FROSTY JAY JAY which was racing to the outside of MELODY SERERADE was inconvenienced.  Entering the turn COIN OF PHRASE shifted out off the heels of MINER’S MOSS and collided with MELODY SERENADE.  Continuing through the turn KING ELLIOT and MINER’S MOSS collided.  Entering the back straight MINER’S MOSS and COIN OF PHRASE came together.

 

Race 10 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Racing down the home straight SKUZI turned its head inwards toward YADA YADA YADA.

 

The greyhound SKUZI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
