The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound JUST LIKE TINA performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.81.

 

The greyhound PEBBLE BAY performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.62.

 

The greyhound UNDERMINER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.63.

 

The greyhound GRIM CREEPER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 3 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.28.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

DETROIT MUSCLE was best to begin.  SWISH BEACH was slow to begin.  SCORCHING CORNER checked off the heels of QUEEN OF SHOW in the back straight resulting in interference to NAN’S NIRO.

 

The greyhound SWISH BEACH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M James that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 331m all tracks prior to nominating.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. James who explained that it was his intentions to speak to the owners regarding the greyhound’s performance suggesting the greyhound be retired from racing.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

VITAL MISSION was best to begin.  MISS ELEGANCE and GOOD GESTURE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in MISS ELEGANCE being pushed sideways and falling.  GOOD GESTURE lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  TWO AND SIXPENCE and WEST MEAD BLUE bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in some inconvenience to LA CHASE RAPIDE.  WEST MEAD BLUE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound MISS ELEGANCE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m

Even start.  LILLY’S LEGACY crossed from a wide position shortly after the start resulting in TO THE LOCAL being tightened for racing room and losing some ground, causing TIA MARIA to be checked and lose ground.  BUNDY MAGIC checked off the heels of TO THE LOCAL and lost ground in the back straight.  SMASHNIAK MARS checked off the heels of MONTEIRO and lost ground in the back straight.  TO THE LOCAL checked off the heels of SMOKE UNDERCOVER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  WHAT’S FOREVER raced wide on the turn into the home straight.  TIA MARIA checked off the heels of BUNDY MAGIC prior to the finish line.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m

SOMERSET SUPREME was best to begin with HOT LIKE SUNSET very slow to begin.  KIOWA KING and WOOZIE DOOZIE were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start of the back straight.  SOMERSET SUPREME and SON OF PRADA bumped heavily in the back straight resulting in SOMERSET SUPREME becoming unbalanced and losing ground, causing interference to URBAN ENFORCER.  WOOZIE DOOZIE checked off the heels of URBAN ENFORCER and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.

 

Stewards spoke to the trainer of HOT LIKE SUNSET in relation to the slow start tonight.  Trainer Mr. D Turley could offer no tangible reason as to why the greyhound started so slow.  Stewards advised the trainer’s representative that the performance at the boxes was bordering on unsatisfactory.

 

Race 5 – Novice 331m

ZOE KNOWS and ANTI AMIGO were tightened as the start was effected and lost some ground.  ALOTA HANGOVERS was slow to begin.  JAKAYLA checked off the heels of KISS ME HOLLY and lost ground in the back straight.  ZOE KNOWS raced onto the heels of ANTI AMIGO on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to JAKAYLA and causing ANTI AMIGO to lose considerable ground.  ALOTA HANGOVERS raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – Novice 331m

Even start with WINNIE’S GUN marginally slow to begin.  BUN JEE and SHAKIRA BELLA were tightened for racing room in the back straight and lost some ground.  BUN JEE checked off the hindquarters of SHAKIRA BELLA and lost ground in the back straight.  EDGE ‘EM OUT raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade 395m

LADY SAMA was best to begin.  SPRITELY RYLEY was slow to begin.  NOTORIOUS LADY raced wide in the back straight and again in the home straight.  SPY QUEEN and TOPPING bumped prior to the finishing line.

 

The greyhound SIR TIGER OSTI was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 395m

LE SIRENUSE was slow to begin.  OH THAT’S NICE and LUV YA DIGGER was tightened for racing room shortly after the start and lost some ground.  MR. ELEGANT and CLASSIC TRADER bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to LUV YA DIGGER and OH THAT’S NICE.  CLASSIC TRADER also lost considerable ground as a result.  MR. ELEGANT and OH THAT’S NICE bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start.  MISS PITTY PAT, WALLY WHO CALLS and NO PRISONERS bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in WALLY WHO CALLS losing ground, causing MARLO GOOD to check off its heels.  MERMAID LANE checked off the heels of MARLO GOOD and lost ground towards the end of the back straight.  MISS PITTY PAT and DAVIDSON ROSE HI bumped just prior to the finishing line.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

LAURYN’S BEST was best to begin.  GREAT TRIUMPH was slow to begin.  BARRIE BOJANGLES, MASTER LAGOON, MACARENA MISS and RYLEE’S RING IN all came together on the turn into the back straight resulting in MASTER LAGOON checking out across the heels of BARRIE BOJANGLES, causing interference to GREAT TRIUMPH.  RYLEE’S RING IN checked off the heels of STONE PRINCE and lost ground entering the back straight.  GREAT TRIUMPH raced wide in the home straight.
