GENERAL

 

 

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 395m

MAJOR JACKPOT was best to begin.  ELITE SOX and JUST BE GUN bumped shortly after the start resulting in some interference to TIA MARIA.  ELITE SOX checked off the heels of WOOZIE DOOZIE and lost ground entering the back straight.  TIA MARIA and ELITE SOX bumped heavily just prior to the finishing line.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. N Thompson that the greyhound FLYING CESSNA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 395m

AZARIAH was best to begin.  SHINOLA and CULPER SPY was slow to begin.  FOXIE UNDERCOVER crossed from a wide position on the turn into the back straight tightening MARLUCA onto SOMERSET SUPREME.  MARLUCA checked off FOXIE UNDERCOVER entering the back straight, resulting in MARLUCA becoming unbalanced and falling causing interference to ARCTIC KING.  SOMERSET SUPREME checked off the heels of FOXIE UNDERCOVER in the back straight.  SHINOLA and SOMERSET SUPREME bumped on the turn into the front straight.

 

The greyhound MARLUCA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. N Thompson that the greyhound SHINOLA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.  The greyhound was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 3 – Maiden 395m

Even start with STILL COUNTING, YES GERONOMO and LATESHOW MATISSE slow to begin.  GOLD TOTAL crossed from a wide position tightening BANK ON ME onto WESTERN HONEY resulting in WESTERN HONEY losing ground causing interference to STILL COUNTING on the turn into the back straight.  YES GERONOMO lost ground also as a result of the incident.  STEVIE NIX checked off the heels of GOLD TOTAL in the back straight and lost considerable ground.  BANK ON ME and STILL COUNTING bumped in the back straight.  ROCKING RONNY was tightened for racing room between LATESHOW MATISSE and GOLD TOTAL prior to the finishing line resulting in ROCKING RONNY checking across the heels of LATESHOW MATISSE.

 

Race 4 – Novice 395m

SHE TALKS was best to begin.  FAMOUS FOR FUN was marginally slow to begin.  MIS BECKY SAM was also marginally slow to begin.  PROVEN TRAX was also marginally slow to begin.      MISS BECKY SAM and PROVEN TRAX bumped on the turn into the back straight.  PROVEN TRAX and FAMOUS FOR FUN bumped entering the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ELL’S ALL CLASS raced onto the heels of EASY OFF in the back straight, resulting in EASY OFF losing some ground.  MISS BECKY SAM raced onto the heels of EASY OFF on the turn out of the back straight resulting in MISS BECKY SAM falling and severe interference to EASY OFF.  MAGIC MOUSSE and MISTER PITT bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MAGIC MOUSSE losing ground.

 

The greyhound MISS BECKY SAM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound EASY OFF was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 395m

GENERATION IRON was best to begin.  SHANAE’S MAGIC was slow to begin.  MAGIC ANGEL, HARA’S SIZZLE and OSUMARE all bumped shortly after the start.  SENORITA SALLEE and MR. MARAUDER bumped shortly after the start resulting in SENORITA SALLEE becoming unbalanced knuckling over and almost falling and losing considerable ground.  GENERATION IRON checked off the heels of NEVER THE TRUTH and lost ground entering the back straight.  OSUMARE and HARA’S SIZZLE bumped entering the back straight resulting in OSUMARE losing considerable ground.  OSUMARE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SENORITA SALLEE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 6 – 3/4th Grade 395m

Even start with HARA’S DERECK slow to begin.  VEUVE, MR SNEAKY SNEAKY, and TEJAY’S GRAND raced tight into the back straight resulting in TEJAY’S GRAND being tightened for racing room between MR SNEAKY SNEAKY and BLACKJACK GENT.  WAZZA KING checked off the heels of KULU DEE JAY on the turn out of the back straight.  KULU DEE JAY and WAZZA KING bumped prior to the finishing line.

 

The greyhound MR SNEAKY SNEAKY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off fore toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 7 – 1/2nd Grade 395m

GEMMA DUAL was best to begin.  SUMMER’S BUG and HAWKO’S MISTAKE bumped shortly after the start resulting in HAWKO’S MISTAKE losing ground.  KULU ROO shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening SUMMER’S BUG            onto KULU KARMA onto LATE TROTS ANGEL, resulting in SUMMER’S BUG and KULU KARMA losing considerable ground.  SUMMER’S BUG lost ground sharply entering the back straight failing to take any further competitive part in the race.  KULU ROO was tightened for racing room between GEMMA DUAL and LATE TROTS ANGEL in the back straight resulting in KULU ROO losing ground.  KULU KARMA commenced to lose ground in the back straight finishing a considerable distance from the field.

 

The greyhound KULU KARMA was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

The greyhound SUMMER’S BUG was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 8 weeks.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade 395m

CHAMPS was best to begin.  DIAMOND OSPREY and MASTER LAGOON were slow to begin.  DIAMOND OSPREY checked off the heels of PURE EDGE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  DASHING DIME checked off the heels of SURE YOU CAN entering the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to MASTER LAGOON.  CHAMPS and PURE EDGE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in CHAMPS losing some ground.  MASTER LAGOON raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  PURE EDGE and DIAMOND OSPREY bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in PURE EDGE becoming unbalanced, shifting out bumping CHAMPS, who lost ground as a result.  SURE YOU CAN and CHAMPS bumped entering the home straight.  MASTER LAGOON and PURE EDGE bumped heavily prior to the finish line resulting in MASTER LAGOON becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  DASHING DIME raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 395m

Even start.  KULU KAMBALDA was tightened for racing room and lost ground between CLOUD LAND and OBIN TOMMY shortly after the start.  CLOUD LAND crossed from a wide position entering the back straight resulting in OBIN TOMMY, MAGIC GALO, DAYSEAS FREDDIE, WAZZ’S FANTASY, KULU FREEDOM and KULU KAMBALDA all being tightened for racing room and losing ground.  WAZZ’S FANTASY raced onto the heels of KULU FREEDOM in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  DAYSEAS FREDDIE raced wide in the back straight.  KULU FREEDOM lost ground in the back straight for no apparent reason and continued to lose ground to the finish.  MAGIC GALO and KULU KAMBALDA bumped shortly before the finishing line.

 

The greyhound KULU FREEDOM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start.  SUPA SMOOTH OSTI shifted in on the turn into the back straight tightening HOPE’S MAGIC onto IMA SUAREZ, in turn onto KING ODESSA, in onto CLASSY TOM, resulting in these greyhounds being checked and losing ground causing interference to RON’S DOUBLE.  HOW’S IT RUDE checked off the heels of YOUR DEAL and lost ground entering the back straight.  IMA SUAREZ checked off the heels of HOW’S IT RUDE in the back straight resulting in interference to RON’S DOUBLE.  HOW’S IT RUDE checked off the heels of CLASSY TOM on the turn out of the back straight.  IMA SUAREZ checked off the heels of HOW’S IT RUDE after turning out of the back straight causing some interference to RON’S DOUBLE.
