Race 1 FULL OF ATTITUDE Injured in running, off side hip, 10 days
Even start with TOBIAS RUMBLE and LADY ABIGAIL slow to begin. FULL OF ATTITUDE and SIVAMET bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion. MODERN MISS was tightened for racing room between PACIFIC HARBOUR and SPRING DREAM towards the end of the front straight on 1st occasion, resulting in MODERN MISS losing ground. TOBIAS RUMBLE checked off the heels of MODERN MISS and lost ground approaching the turn out of the front straight. FULL OF ATTITUDE checked off the heels of SIVAMET and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in interference to TOBIAS RUMBLE and MINNIE IMPACT. SPRING DREAM and PACIFIC HARBOUR bumped on the turn into the back straight. PACIFIC HARBOUR checked off the heels of SPRING DREAM in the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. MODERN MISS and MINNIE IMPACT bumped in the back straight.
The
greyhound FULL OF ATTITUDE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
KNOCKER was best to begin. ABBY’S MAGIC and COBBER IN MOTION were slow to begin. NORM THE STORM, MAGIC MAIDEN and MINI OREO bumped heavily shortly after the start resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground. COBBER IN MOTION crossed from a wide position approaching the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping MAGIC MAIDEN who became unbalanced and lost ground. NORM THE STORM and COBBER IN MOTION bumped heavily on the turn out of the front straight resulting in MAGIC MAIDEN being severely checked and forced to race wide. ABBY’S MAGIC suffered interference as a result. NORM THE STORM and MINI OREO bumped on the turn into the back straight. ABBY’S MAGIC raced onto the heels of NORM THE STORM entering the back straight resulting in ABBY’S MAGIC losing considerable ground. MAGIC MAIDEN raced wide into the back straight.

RAIN STREAM was best to begin. STARGATE SYSTEM was slow to begin. ZIPPING MAGGIE and RAIN STREAM bumped towards the end of the back straight on the 1st occasion resulting in some inconvenience to DZEKO. STARGATE SYTEM checked across the heels of LUNA JINX and lost some ground on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion. RAIN STREAM checked across the heels of STARGATE SYSTEM in the front straight on the 1st occasion. ZIPPING MAGGIE and LUNZ JINX bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion. MULLAWAY checked across the heels of LUNA JINX on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground. STARGATE SYSTEM raced wide in the back straight.

HOUGENIE was best to begin. TEARS SIAMD and STELLA NIGHTS bumped shortly after the start. TEARS SIAM and STELLA NIGHTS bumped in the back straight resulting in TEARS SIAM checking off the heels STELLA NIGHTS and losing ground on the 1st occasion. HOUGENIE raced wide on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion. STELLA NIGHTS checked across the heels of COSMIC VEE BEE and lost some ground entering the front straight on the 1st occasion. COSMIC VEE BEE checked across the heels of LADY TOY and lost some ground on the turn into the home straight. HOUGENIE raced wide in the front straight on the 1st occasion. TEARS SIAM and STELLA NIGHTS raced wide in the back straight.

BAY OF SPRITE was best to begin. MISS HUSSY was marginally slow to begin. SERENE STAR checked off the heels of HOPE’S MAGIC and lost some ground shortly after the start. POP THE CORK checked off the heels of SIMPATICO and lost ground in the front straight on the 1st occasion. BAY OF SPRITE and SERENE STAR bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to SPANISH QUEEN. POP THE CORK raced wide into the back straight.

ARISTOTLE was slow to begin. POCAHONTAS and UP THE ATTITUDE bumped shortly after the start. QUEENIES BEST shifted in on the turn out of the front straight tightening FABULOUS STORM, resulting in CHEVALEIR NUIT checking across the heels of FABULOUS STORM, resulting in interference to APATITE, FABULOUS STORM, ARISTOTLE and POCAHONTAS. POCAHONTAS received severe interference as a result of the incident and was forcing wide on the track. APATITE checked off the heels of UP THE ATTITUDE in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground. POCAHONTAS raced wide in the back straight.

Race 7 – Flying Amy Heat 5 520m
VELOCITY SHIRL was best to begin. In the front straight on the 1st occasion WHITE MARLIN was tightened for racing room between MORE FOR YOU and CASH IN MOTION., resulting in WHITE MARLIN checking off the heels of MORE FOR YOU. ANGELIS MISS was slow to begin. PEARLS A PLENTY shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping FANTASTIC SID and continued to shift out bumping CASH IN MOTION. VELOCITY SHIRL checked off the heels of ANGELIC MISS and lost some ground entering the back straight. CASH IN MOTION checked across the heels of PEARLS A PLENTY on the turn entering the back straight. PEARLS A PLENTY and CASH IN MOTION bumped in the back straight. WHITE MARLIN raced wide into the home straight.
The greyhound PEARLS A PLENTY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. T Guymer in relation to the greyhound’s performance tonight. Mr. Guymer advised stewards that this was the greyhound’s 1st start over this distance and he was somewhat disappointed at the performance. Mr. Guymer advised that he would assess the greyhound in the coming weeks in relation to starting over the 520m race again. Stewards advised the trainer that the performance of the greyhound tonight was bordering on unsatisfactory.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m
Even start. HOPE’S FANTASY jumped awkwardly and lost ground as the start was effected. MINER’S MOSS crossed shortly after the start bumping KIDATEE CROC resulting in interference to OUTA TEMPO. OUTA TEMPO and HOPE’S FANTASY bumped in the front straight. KIDATEE CROC raced wide down the front straight on the 1st occasion. HOPE’S FANTASY checked across the heels of TEE BRADY towards the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion. HOPE’S FANTASY checked off the heels of SPRING BONANZA and lost ground entering the back straight. OUTA TEMPO and HOPE’S FANTASY bumped on the turn into the home straight.
Race 9 – 4/5th Grade 520m
Even start. General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in MELODY SERENADE, MAL ROSE HI and THIS TIME REBA losing considerable ground. MAL ROSE HI and THIS TIME REBA bumped towards the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion. ANNIE BENZ shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping YOGI BLUE, causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground, resulting in interference to THIS TIME REBA. MAL ROSE HI, THIS TIME REBA and NO CALLARATAH bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in THIS TIME REBA and NO CALLARATAH losing ground. MELODY SERENADE checked off the heels of ANNIE BENZ and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to YOGI BLUE. MELODY SERENADE and MAL ROSE HI bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in MELODY SERENADE losing some ground. THIS TIME REBA raced wide in the back straight.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m
SHE’S A NIRO jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride as the start was effected. CARDIAC KING was slow to begin. CARDIAC KING and GEORGINA bumped heavily on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground, causing some inconvenience to ROCKET READY. MAIN STORY and PRINCE FREDERICK bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground. PRINCE FREDERICK checked off the heels of MAIN STORY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to GEORGINA. GEORGINA and ROCKET READY bumped entering the back straight. MAIN STORY raced wide in the back straight.
