The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

The greyhound ROXY ROCKET performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.56 and is now cleared to nominate all tracks.
The greyhound SHRUB’S CRUSADER performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.70.
PENNY UNDERCOVER shifted in shortly after the start and inconvenienced ASTON UGO. MIDNIGHT HUNTER, PENNY UNDERCOVER and QUEEN LOCH BRAE all showed early speed. TEXAS ROLL and JUST BE GUN were slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ASTON UGO crossed down when insufficiently clear of PENNY UNDERCOVER, resulting in that greyhound clipping the heels of ASTON UGO causing it to become unbalanced. On the turn out of the front straight MIDNIGHT HUNTER shifted out causing LADY KIN to shift ground and bump JUST BE GUN with both greyhounds becoming unbalanced. As a result of this incident TEXAS ROLL, PENNY UNDERCOVER and HI HONEY HO were all checked as a result and lost some ground. HI HONEY HO raced wide in back straight. PENNY UNDERCOVER raced wide in the front straight in the run to the finish.
CASEY UNDERCOVER and TRANSMEDIA both showed early speed. SANDY ISLAND was slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight LEMON SUNRISE shifted in and bumped UNIQUE RECALL which resulted in UNIQUE RECALL shifting in sharply checking ELITE SOX, which lost considerable ground out of the incident. TRANSMEDIA raced wide in the back straight. Rounding the turn into the front straight on the final occasion ELITE SOX shifted in bumping ELITE RECALL, which lost momentum as a result. CASEY UNDERCOVER and ELITE SOX bumped heavily approaching the finishing line.
The greyhound ELITE SOX was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. P Graham in respect to concerns they had with ELITE SOX turning its head towards CASEY UNDERCOVER. After considering the evidence ELITE SOX was given the benefit of the doubt and trainer Mr. P Graham was advised that stewards will be closely monitoring ELITE SOX in its future races.
The greyhound SANDY ISLAND was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. A Keep that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.
Race 3 – Novice 520m
Even start. GUNNA WINK shifted in shortly after the start which tightened the racing room of CAP GUN, MISTER PITT and ONE WON’T HURT, and as a result ONE WON’T HURT shifted in checking WICKED QUEEN which lost considerable ground as a result of the incident. Turning into the back straight ONE WON’T HURT shifted out clipping the heels of RADLEY’S JACKPOT, resulting in ONE WON’T HURT becoming unbalanced and losing ground. MISTER PITT was inconvenienced as a result of this incident. WICKED QUEEN shifted out on the turn out of the back straight making contact with ONE WON’T HURT. It was noted that ONE WON’T HURT was significantly inconvenienced as a result of this incident.
The
greyhound WICKED QUEEN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Stewards advised trainer’s representative Mr.
B Morris that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.
Race 4 – Novice 520m
THERE SHE WAS showed early speed. STILL COUNTING was slow to begin. BE ZANEY shifted out and BRODIE’S MEMORY shifted in shortly after the start which resulted in MEG’S MAGIC being tightened and losing some ground. On the turn out of the front straight BRODIE’S MEMORY shifted in bumping MEG’S MAGIC which resulted in FAST AS being checked and losing considerable ground. On the turn into the back straight MEG’S MAGIC clipped the heels of BRODIE’S MEMORY checking MEG’S MAGIC which resulted in FAST AS being checked for racing room. Turning out of the back straight BE ZANEY shifted in contacting STRAYA causing this greyhound to become unbalanced and lose momentum.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade Heat 1 520m
CHEEKY CHANCE and VEUVE both showed early speed. TWO SIZE’S ALL and SIVAMET bumped shortly after the start and as a result CRACKING CAZA was inconvenienced. Leaving the back straight MISS KAMIKAZE shifted in tightening SIVAMET which in turn tightened CRACKING CAZA. As a result of this incident CHEEKY CHANCE was inconvenienced. Rounding the turn into the front straight MISS KAMIKAZE and CRACKING CAZA came together and bumped. CHEEKY CHANCE which started a $2.20 favourite, trainer Mr. R Burman explained that he was disappointed when CHEEKY CHANCE’s performance as he expected a forward showing and could offer no explanation.
The greyhound CHEEKY CHANCE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. R Burman was advised to inform stewards of any abnormalities that may occur with the greyhound in the next 24 hours. 16/06/2015 – Mr. Burman has advised no abnormalities were found with the greyhound.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade Heat 2 520m
BEAT THE BULLET and PEARLS A PLENTY both showed early speed. PARCHMENT and SLAYER RETURN were slow to begin. DASHING DIME shifted out on the turn out of the front straight which inconvenienced SLAYER RETURN.
The greyhound SLAYER RETURN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Mr. N Vohland was questioned in regards to the greyhound’s performance in tonight’s event. Mr. Vohland advised stewards that he was expecting a forward showing and supported the greyhound significantly. He further advised that SLAYER RETURN is best suited when leading and he expected it to be able to cross and lead today’s event however, when was checked rounding the turn out of the front straight when DASHING DIME shifted ground and again in the back straight when DASHING DIME again shifted ground. In his view played significant part in the performance of SLAYER RETURN. He further advised that SLAYER RETURN may restricted its racing to Ipswich in the near future. Mr. N Vohland was instructed to advise stewards of any abnormalities that may come forward with SLAYER RETURN in the next 24 hours.
Race 7 – 0 – 3 Wins 600m
MINNIE IMPACT and BOGIE’S A STAR showed early speed. STARGATE SYSTEM was slow to begin. TAIPAN’S TIME shifted out on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion which inconvenienced MR. BRAND. STARGATE SYSTEM shifted out on the turn out of the front straight which resulted in TAIPAN’S TIME being checked causing that greyhound to become unbalanced, which in turn checked MR. BRAND.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 600m
Even start. WAIKARIE MAGIC shifted in on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion checking MR. CODY. WAIKARIE MAGIC shifted ground entering the turn out of the back straight which inconvenienced MR. CODY.
Race 9 – 3/4th Grade 520m
JEBRYNAH ALLEY and FEMME JOLIE showed early speed. GEORGINA was slow to begin. FEMME JOLIE shifted down approaching the turn out of the front straight which tightened the racing room of JEBRYNAH ALLEY, causing this greyhound to be checked. As a consequence YOUI shifted out sharply resulting GEORGINA being severely checked and losing significant ground. VISUALIZE IT gave ground over the concluding stages to finish well back.
The
greyhound VISUALIZE IT was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the
off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 3 520m
KATHIE’S FLASH showed early speed. SARAJEVO GIRL and SPRITELY LIL were both slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front straight CHEVALEIR NUIT crossed down making contact with the hind heels of MADE THAT WAY which caused it to become unbalanced and as a result MISS HEWITT was checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight SAY SAYONARA and LARA SAINT came together with SAY SAYONARA being checked and losing ground.
