GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Novice 520m

LADY KIN was best to begin with SPECIAL VISION slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight QUEEN LOCH BRAE and DETRIORT MUSCLE collided.  LADY KIN and SPECIAL VISION collided.  Entering the back straight LADY KIN and QUEEN LOCH BRAE collided causing QUEEN LOCH BRAE to drop back.  In the back straight DOWN THEY CAME was wide.  Entering the home turn DETROIT MUSCLE and DOWN THEY CAME were wide.

 

The greyhound QUEEN LOCH BRAE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – 5th Grade 520m

Due to lure mechanical problems this race and all subsequent races were put back 1 race timeslot.

 

BUTCHULLA BOY was best to begin with TUFF IT slowly away.  Soon after the start VIRUNGA and CHEEKY CHANCE collided.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion VIRUNGA and IGGLING BEACH collided.  In the back straight VIRUNGA was wide.  On the top turn MASTER CODY was wide.  Approaching the finish line GIGGLING BEACH and CHEEKY CHANCE collided.

 

The greyhound TUFF IT was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 3 – 5th Grade 520m

ROSDUE DYNAMO was best to begin with ELUSIVE STRIKE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight BLUE DEN and GRIN AND WIN collided.  On the turn out of the home straight HAWKO’S MISTAKE dropped back and took no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight and home straight MAL ROSE HI was wide.

 

The greyhound HAWKO’S MISTAKE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 4 – 4/5th Grade 520m

DON’T GO QUIETLY and BIG DAC were best to begin with CYNDIE’S MAGIC slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight DON’T GO QUIETLY, BIG DAC and KING ELLIOT collided causing KING ELLIOT to falter and take no further competitive part in the event.  On the turn out of the home straight and in the back straight TITAN ASH was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight and in the home straight CYNDIE’S MAGIC was wide.

 

The greyhound KING ELLIOT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – 3/4th Grade 520m

MAGIC MAIDEN was best to begin with BLUE SCORPION and SPANISH QUEEN slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion BLUE SCORPION and WAIKARIE MAGIC collided.  On the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion PIKELET and WAIKARIE MAGIC collided. In the back straight and home straight MELODY SERENADE was wide.

 

The greyhound BLUE SCORPION was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – Open 600m

SHERIDON was best to begin with OKAY YETTA and STARTIN’ MONDAY slowly away. Soon after the start OKAY YETTA and STARTIN’ MONDAY collided.  In the home straight on the 1st occasion HOUGENIE and THIS TIME REBA were wide. Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion SPRING BONANZA and RENATUS collided. In the back straight HOUGENIE was wide. In the home straight HOUGENIE and RENATUS were wide.

 

The greyhound OKAY YETTA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – Garrard’s Winter Cup Final 520m

KEYBOW was best to begin with VICTORY PRINCE slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight POP THE CORK hit the running rail causing the greyhound to take no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight DAWKINS BALE was wide.  In the home straight FLASH REALITY and POP THE CORK were wide.

 

The greyhound POP THE CORK was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound VICTORY PRINCE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 8 – Best 8 520m

MINER’S MOSS and ZIPPING MIDGE were best to begin with PICTURES PEARCE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight CYNDIE’S SPECIAL and PICTURE PEARCE collided causing CYNDIE’S SPECIAL to shift out checking DREAM RIVER.  In the back straight YOGI BLUE was wide.  Entering the top turn LADY ABIGAIL and ELUSIVE DESIRE collided.  In the home straight LADY ABIGAIL was wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 520m

JAYDEN LASS and ROSDUE BOOMER were best to begin with GEORGINA slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight JAYDEN LASS checked off the heels of HOLYWOOD ROSE HI causing JAYDEN LASS to drop to the rear.  On the turn out of the home straight GRIM CREEPER and HOPPY HOUDINDI collided.  On the turn into the back straight CYCLONE CLIFFORD and WALLY WHO CALLS collided.  In the back and home straights GRIM CREEPER was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m

LAURYN’S BEST was best to begin with APATITE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight HIGHLIFE and APATITE collided.  On the turn out of the straight DYNAMITE SPEED, MR. CODY and BLACK PARADOX all collided causing BLACK PARADOX to drop to the rear.  Entering the top turn HIGHLIFE checked off the heels of APATITE.  In the home straight HIGHLIFE was wide.

 

The greyhound LAURYN’S BEST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound NO CALLARATAH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
