MAGAM MEDUSA and FOR LUCK were best to begin with GUN LEGACY slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight NO WAY ARNI checked off the heels of LEEROY RIPPER causing NO WAY ARNI to check GLENALLON RINGO and SMART SPIRIT causing those greyhounds to falter. On the turn into the back straight GUN LEGACY checked off the heels ISSY COOL. In the back straight SMART SPIRIT was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight GUN LEGACY checked off the heels of SMART SPIRIT. Entering the home straight NO WAY ARNI shifted out checking GUN LEGACY and GLENALLON RINGO. In the home straight GUN LEGACY was wide.
The
greyhound NO WAY ARNI was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind foot and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
REAL FEAR was best to begin with TASER SHOCK and SPLIT SYSTEM slowly away. Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion TASER SHOCK, GLENALLON ZULU and SIDBO all collided. On the turn out of the home straight GREAT KNOCK THAT checked off the heels of SPLIT SYSTEM forcing GREAT KNOCK THAT wide with SIDBO brushing the running rail. In the back straight and home straight GREAT KNOCK THAT was wide.
The greyhound ALL FORCE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

This race was delayed for an interstate harness event.
REGINALD BENZ and MESSIDONNA CLOUD were best to begin with CYCLONE CLIFFORD slowly away. On the turn out of the home straight DARK MENACE was wide. In the back straight DARK MENACE was wide. On the turn out of the back straight BRALYN CHARLIE and DARK MENACE collided.

Grade Heat 2 520m
SIMPATICO was best to begin with the remainder evenly away. Soon after the start COLLIDER GIRL checked off the heels of KIRI BELLE. Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion INSPECTOR CLOUD checked off the heels of CERVELO. On the turn out of the home straight GET A LIFEBOUY checked off the heels of MUM’S A LOONY causing MUM’S A LOONY to check CERVELO with INSPECTOR CLOUD wide. Entering the back straight GET A LIFEBOUY and ALPHA ATHENA collided. In the back straight KIRI BELLE turned its head inwards and marred ALPHA ATHENA. Entering the turn out of the back straight INSPECTOR CLOUD and CERVELO collided. Entering the home straight CERVELO checked off the heels of MUM’S A LOONY.
Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Carleton that the greyhound KIRI BELLE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

Grade Heat 3 520m
HEIDI BENZ and FORWARD PASS were best to begin with PARCHMENT slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight MADE THAT WAY checked off the heels of GRIN AND WIN. On the turn out of the home straight SWEET AS BETH checked off the heels of FORWARD PASS. Entering the back straight MADE THAT WAY checked off the heels of GRIN AND WIN. On the top turn and home straight VELOCITY SPICE was wide.

greyhound FORWARD PASS was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

LAURYN’S BEST was best to begin with CHEEKY FREYER slowly away. Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion COLD HARD TRUTH and AEROPLANE JACK collided. On the turn out of the home straight AEROPLANE JACK and VEUVE collided. In the back straight AEROPLANE JACK was wide. On the turn into the home straight DEEP DESPAIR checked off the heels of AEROPLANE JACK forcing DEEP DESPAIR wide in the home straight.
The greyhound VEUVE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4th Grade 520m
TITAN ASH was best to begin with BIG DAC slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion RENATUS checked off the heels of NO CALLARATAH causing RENATUS to shift out checking BIG DAC, forcing BIG DAC wide on the turn. In the back straight BIG DAC was wide. On the top turn and home straight DASHIGN CANUTE was wide.
The greyhound NO CALLARATAH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Connections were questioned by stewards and they advised they supported the greyhound and expected the greyhound to do better than what it had done and the greyhound may when its cooled down maybe find something wrong with the greyhound. Connections were advised it let stewards know if they was any further developments.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m
KING ELLIOT was best to begin with MPINGO and SPRING BONANZA slowly away. Soon after the start SAY SAYONARA, MINCIN’ MACHINE and KIDATEE CROC collided. Entering the turn out of the home straight KIDATEE CROC checked off the heels of PACIFIC HARBOUR. On the turn out of the home straight MPINGO was wide. Entering the back straight PACIFIC HARBOUR and SPRING BONANZA collided. In the back straight MINCIN’ MACHINE was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight SAY SAYONARA, PACIFIC HARBOUR and SPRING BONANZA all collided. Entering the home straight MINCIN’ MACHINE was wide.
Race 9 – 5th Grade Heat 5 520m
HOPE’S MAGIC was best to begin with GENERAL CLOUD slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight INSIDE PASS and GENERAL CLOUD collided forcing GENERAL CLOUD wide. On the turn out of the home straight VELOCITY EMBER and EL CAPO collided causing EL CAPO to check WESTERN DAVE with EL CAPO and WESTERN DAVE colliding through to the catching pen. In the back straight GENERAL CLOUD was wide. In the home straight HOUINDEED was wide.
The
greyhound EL CAPO was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 10 – 5th Grade Heat 6 520m
QUEENIES BEST was best to begin with MISS RUBIROSA slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight MISS JACKPOT checked off the heels of QUEENIES BEST causing MISS JACKPOT and TRAP MAN to collide, causing MISS JACKPOT to take no further competitive part in the event. On the turn out of the home straight MISS RUBIROSA and WITH A GEE collided, forcing WITH A GEE wide. In the back straight ALPHA ADONIS was wide. In the home straight MISS JACKPOT was wide.
The greyhound MISS JACKPOT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound MISS RUDIROSA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. The handler of this greyhound was reprimanded by stewards to be more diligent when boxing the greyhound.
