The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

395m all tracks
The greyhound THAIDAY NIGHT performed a successful satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 1 over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.45.
The greyhound KNOCKA ROUND performed a successful satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.97.
The greyhound LEADFOOT EXPRESS slipped its collar prior to the trial and did not compete.
TELEX FINGERS was best to begin. Shortly after the start BOEHRINGER and DESPICABLE JAZZ were tightened as INTERACTION shifted in. Through the 1st turn HARA’S BLAZE, MORTAL WOMBAT and CALL ME AUSSIE were tight and lost ground and BOEHRINGER was also inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn MORTAL WOMBAT and CALL ME AUSSIE came together and MORTAL WOMBAT lost ground. Through the top turn INTERACTION and EPSILON collided and became unbalanced.
The greyhound MORTAL WOMBAT was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
REPTAR was best to begin. Entering the back straight PANTS PIRATE, SPRING PUZZLE, HARA’S HAWK and MR. SURRENDER were all inconvenienced as HOBO JANE shifted out.
Race 3 – Maiden Final 395m
IMPOSSIBLE and BELLA BEE were best to begin. Through the 1st turn RUMBLING JAKE and BATTY LOVES BEER came together. In the top turn SPEEDY’S MATE and SHAYLOR PAUL were tight and unbalanced. Leaving the top turn RUMBLING JAKE and CRACKLIN’ ROSIE collided and were unbalanced. SPEEDY’S MATE and SHAYLOR PAUL were tight and bumping through the home straight.
Race 4 – Novice 395m
SHAYLOR EVELYN was best to begin with DON’T DOUBT ME slow. Through the 1st turn EL GRAND JUNIOR and GALWAY SUPERSTAR were tight and lost ground. PEBBLE BAY, CATWALK SHOW LEE and DON’T DOUBT ME were wide in the home straight.
Race 5 – 5th
Grade Final 395m
Even start. Through the 1st turn POWER JET and VEE ROCKET came together and lost ground. Entering the back straight LONG LONG LOGAN checked off heels and lost significant ground taking no further competitive part in the event. BAZZA’S ISSUE which was following was hampered. In the home straight BAZZA’S ISSUE marred the running of VEE ROCKET and both greyhounds became severely unbalanced over the concluding stages as a result.
The greyhound VEE ROCKET was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound LONG LONG LOGAN was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to
the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Stewards
advised trainer Mr. M Wells that the greyhound BAZZA’S ISSUE would be charged
under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a
satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 395m
Even start. Shortly after the start DAVE’S DRINKING, MAHAILIA and HARA’S SIZZLE were tightened between SIGN POST and LEAH BENZ. As a result MAHAILIA fell and took no further competitive part in the event and ALBARTROSS was also hampered. Through the top turn HARA’S SIZZLE and DAYSEAS DOLLY came together.
The greyhound MAHAILIA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 4th Grade 395m
FENRIR was best to begin with EVIE’S ANGEL and HARA’S HARRY slow. Through the 1st turn CLOUD LAND and DAYSEAS FREDDIE were tight and lost ground with MIGHTY ROCKET which was following inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn DAYSEAS FREDDIE improved onto the heels of PLUM JAM and was checked.
Race 8 – Best 8 395m
BLACKJACK GENT and SMASH EM UP were slow to begin with CLASSY FLYER best. Entering the back straight IMPOSING SIND was tightened and lost ground with SMASH EM UP also inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn BLACKJACK GENT checked off the heels of MODERN MISS. Through the top turn IMPOSING SIND and GEMMA DUAL came together and were unbalanced. In the home straight MODERN MISS checked off heels.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
PROTO PENNY was best to begin. In the 1st turn ON TIGHT LINES and COSMIC HANIFY came together and COSMIC HANIFY lost ground. Entering the back straight ON TIGHT LINES checked off heels and collided with MR. SLY and BONNIE VALE. BONNIE VALE checked off heels and raced wide into the top turn. Through the top turn CYCLONE MARLOW improved onto the heels of COSMIC HANIFY and both greyhounds were unbalanced.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
CLASSY TOM and GENERATION IRON were best to begin. In the 1st turn DAYSEAS RIGG and KULU KAMBALDA came together. Approaching the top turn TAYTO checked off the heels of GENERATION IRON and KULU KAMBALDA.
