The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 2 SHIRAZ Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 331m all tracks prior to nominating
Even start. ZIRCON VALLEY was slow to begin. Leaving the back straight HARA’S WHOSH was tightened for racing room, checked which in turn then checked YOU KAY which was trialling. ZIRCON VALLEY raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight.
RONIN, IMA TALENT and GOTCHA NOW were best to begin. Leaving the back straight SPRING PUZZLE shifted out and carried COSMIC LAPTOP wider, which in turn checked SMASHNIAK HARE causing that greyhound to lose ground. SHIRAZ which started favourite at $2.50 fixed bet UBet failed to run up to market expectations to finish a distant last in a time of 20.48 seconds.
The greyhound SHIRAZ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Webb ’representative that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform satisfactory stewards’ trial 331m all tracks prior to nominating.
Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m
Even start. GUMTREE KID was slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight GUMTREE KID made heavy contact with the hindquarters of ONE ZERO SEVEN causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose valuable ground. BULK TOOTH BUCKY which was trailing was checked as a consequence. Leaving the back straight SHAYLOR JAIME raced very wide and a warning was issued.
The greyhound ONE ZERO SEVEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m
MR. WOODS was best to begin. SAMUEL BENJAMIN was slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back straight KASEY’S TURBO was tightened for racing room and lost some ground. Leaving the back straight DESPICABLE JAZZ checked off the heels of COLLISIONATE. COLLISIONATE and DESPICABLE JAZZ bumped in the front straight.
Race 5 – Novice 331m
SHAYLOR HARRY, DEE BEE TEN and GOOD BOY SEAMUS were best to begin. Leaving the back straight LEDTRA BURST and GARDA BLUE collided. Rounding the turn into the front straight DEE BEE TEN and TATTOO collided causing both greyhounds to be hampered.
Race 6 – Novice 331m
ZLATON and TRAV’S HOPE were best to begin. FEAR ZAFLAMES was slow to begin. On the turn out of the back straight ZLATON shifted out and made contact with GUNNER SUCCEED causing both greyhounds to be checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight ZLATON clipped the heels of FEAR ZAFLAMES and was hampered.
The greyhound GUNNER SUCCEED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – 5th Grade 395m
BOGIE LILLY was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight INNER WISDOM was tightened for racing room, shifted out checking HARDLINER and CHADOR KAHN. Entering the back straight HARDLINER was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Shortly afterwards INNER WISDOM contacted the heels of CHADOR KAHN and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the home straight INNER WISDOM shifted out and made contact with HARDLINER resulting in both greyhounds being checked.
Race 8 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start. PACIFIC SPRING was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and SHOT OF CAIN were both tightened for racing room and lost some ground, LEADFOOT MAGIC was checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the back straight MINNIE’S HOPE and SHOT OF CAIN collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked and lose valuable ground. PACIFIC SPRING raced wide in the run to the finish.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
SHEZA HUGGER, FANCY OSTI and GOLD TOTAL were best to begin. Shortly after the start SHE’S MY DARLING and COOL CREDIT collided, resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Approaching the turn into the back straight GUNNADOO RAIDER clipped the heels of FANCY OSTI when that greyhound was crossing. Entering the back straight COUNTRY POWER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight FANCY OSTI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Race 10 – 3/4th Grade 395m
HOWARD HENO, MR SNEAKY SNEAKY and PETITE FOX were best to begin. ZIPPING MANI was slow to begin. Rounding the turn into the back straight MR SNEAKY SNEAKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. PETITE FOX gave ground in the back straight.
The greyhound PETITE FOX was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned trainer Mr. J Bloomfield reported that the greyhound’s usual racing pattern is to find the rails and after drawing box 8 and receiving a check on the 1st turn in his view were contributing factors to the greyhound’s performance today. He stated that he was disappointed with the overall performance and had some concerns with the way the greyhound was striding out. Mr. Bloomfield took upon himself to inform stewards in the upcoming days if anything was to become amiss with the greyhound.
Race 11 – 5th Grade Final 395m
BLUE DEN was best to begin. Shortly after the start DENZANO OSTI, BEAU JILLEM and AUSPHIL GIRL all came together resulting in all greyhounds being checked and losing valuable ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight NO PRISONERS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. DENZANO OSTI which was trailing was severely checked as a consequence. CELTIC COLLEEN was hampered as a result of this incident.
