Even start with ARABELLA slowly away.  Soon after the start CRY LATER, BLITZ ‘EM and OUTBACK FLYER all collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight DASH OF FAITH checked off the heels of CRY LATER, causing CRY LATER to check OUTBACK FLYER.  On the turn CRY LATER, UNIQUE AFFAIR and FEARSOME MISS all colliding forcing FEARSOME MISS wide.  Entering the back straight OUTBACK FLYER checked off the heels of ARABELLA.  Entering the turn out of the home straight BLITZ ‘EM and OUTBACK FLYER collided.  On the turn DASH OF FAITH was wide.  Entering the home straight CRY LATER and DASH OF FAITH collided.  Approaching the winning post OUTBACK FLYER and UNIQUE AFFAIR were racing tight and bumping.

BLUE POINTER was best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start DUSTY WAY and TAMANDU collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight TAMANDU checked off the heels of DUSTY WAY forcing DUSTY WAY wide onto the turn.  Entering the turn out of the back straight CREDIT ENTRY checked off the heels of UNIQUE SHIRLEY forcing UNIQUE SHIRLEY wide on the turn.  Entering the turn into the home straight DUSTY WAY and UNIQUE SHIRLEY collided forcing UNIQUE SHIRLY wide into the home straight.

AZARIAH was best to begin with GEORGINA slowly away.  Soon after the start CHEEKY FREYER and KIDATEE CROC collided.  Entering the turn out of home straight CHEEKY FREYER and GEORGINA collided.  In the back straight MPINGO was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight IN THE PICTURE, KIDATEE CROC and GEORGINA were racing tight and bumping causing GEORGINA to drop back.  In the home straight EL CHAD and GRIN AND WIN collided causing GRIN AND WIN to check MPINGO.  In the home straight IN THE PICTURE and GRIN AND WIN collided causing IN THE PICTURE to fall causing GEORGINA to check of the heels of GRIN AND WIN, coming out checking KIDATEE CROC.  Approaching the line KIDATEE CROC and GEORGINA were racing tight and bumping.

 

The greyhound GEORGINA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound IN THE PICTURE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

UNIQAUE MOTIVE was best to begin with TINY TURBO slowly away.  Soon after the start IMA COWBOY shifted out checking RATATAT.  Entering the turn out of the home straight RATATAT checked off the heels of IMA COWBOY.  On the turn out of the home straight ANGRY ALICE was wide.  In the back straight BOOM WARRIOR was wide.  On the top turn BOOM WARRIOR was wide with RATATAT and TIJUANA TEMPO racing tight and bumping.  In the home straight UNIQUE MOTIVE was wide.

 

The connections of BRAGA MCCOY Mr. D Turley was questioned by stewards regarding the greyhounds improved performance.  He advised he didn’t think the greyhound could win and that the greyhound got a clear run for a change and he was kept wide in its last 2 runs.  He advised he did not support the greyhound.

SPRING BONANZA was best to begin with SARAJEVO GIRL slowly away.  In the home straight on the 1st occasion VEGAS BOUND was wide.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SMASHNIAK GOLD checked off the heels of SIDBO.  Entering the back straight SMASHNIAK GOLD and PARCHMENT collided.  On the turn out of the back straight SIDBO and PARCHMENT collided.  Entering the home straight COBBER IN MOTION, PARCHMENT and SIDBO all collided.

 

The greyhound SMASHNIAK GOLD was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

BUTCHULLA BOY was best to begin with WAR PICTURE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of VEUVE causing VEUVE to drop back sharply.  Entering the back straight VEUVE checked off the heels of CRACKING CAZA.  In the back straight DON’T GO QUIETLY was wide.  Entering the home straight SHYAN YAHOO and GENERAL CLOUD collided.

FORTUNE FADED and CHEVALEIR NUIT were best to begin with WINDORAH JACK and OKA’S ANGEL slowly away.  Soon after the start CHEVALEIR NUIT, NOT LIKE TOMMY and ROCKY BE GOOD all collided causing NOT LIKE TOMMY to drop back sharply.  Entering the turn out of the home straight FORTUNE FADED and WINDORAH JACK collided causing FORTUNE FADED to check OKA’S ANGEL.  On the turn out of the home straight CHEVALEIR NUIT checked off the heels of FORTUNE FADED causing FORTUNE FADED to falter checking ROCKY BE GOOD.  In the back straight LONESOME DUK was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight FASHION ADVICE checked off the heels of OKA’S ANGEL causing FASHION ADVICE to check NOT LIKE TOMMY.

 

The greyhound FORTUNE FADED was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

HAY YOU BOY and MISS BECKY SAM were best to begin with RHYTHMIC EARNER slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight YAMANTO and SIVAMET collided causing YAMANTO to drop back sharply.  On the turn out of the home straight CIGAR SAM was wide.  Going through the catching pen RHYTHMIC EARNER stopped and took no further part in the event.  Entering the back straight HAY YOU BOY and CRAZY VIXON collided.  In the back straight MISS BECKY SAM was wide.  In the home straight CRAZY VIXON was wide.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound RHYTHMIC EARNER would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 2nd, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.  The connections were questioned why the greyhound performed so badly and the trainer Mr. P Ruetschi advised stewards that the greyhound had been injured in the catching pen and has remembered the event and that they intend to retire the greyhound.  The connections advised stewards that they did not support the greyhound.
