EVENTS @ BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 395M

The running of race 6 was delayed due to damage to the track surface caused by a heavy thunder storm. Racing Queensland stewards accompanied by the Club’s racing manager Mr. Z Bryson, Club Veterinarian Surgeon Dr. R Geisel, Starter Mr C Ferguson and track maintenance staff inspected the track to establish whether the track was safe for racing.

Stewards had concerns with the state of the track between the 395m to the 331m and the catching pen which had a significant amount of surface water. After due consideration with the club representatives and track maintenance staff, stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the welfare of the greyhounds racing at today’s meeting could be guaranteed and subsequently declared the remainder of the race meeting abandoned.
