TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound ROSABEL performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.90 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound ROSE A BELLA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.66 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 8 May 2016.

 

Return to Racing Trial 1 – 331m

The greyhound ARIA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.95 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  JAYDEN’S A STAR and LUCKY MARLOW bumped shortly after the start resulting in LUCKY MARLOW becoming unbalanced and losing some ground and causing interference to ESSENTIALLY PURE.  DANCING DOLLARS checked across the heels of MY FIRST SIZE and lost some ground approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  DANCING DOLLARS and ZALHANI bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in ZALHANI becoming unbalanced and racing wide into the turn.  IN THE CROSSFIRE checked off the heels of LUCKY MARLOW and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight.  ZALHANI cross shortly after the start tightening IN THE CROSSFIRE onto ESSENTIALLY PURE in turn onto LUCKY MARLOW, in turn onto JAYDEN’S A START, resulting in all these greyhounds becoming unbalanced and causing ESSENTIALLY PURE to lose ground and LUCKY MARLOW.  ZALHANI raced wide down the straight.  DANCING DOLLARS raced wide into the home straight.

LAURYN’S BEST was best to begin.  HURRICANE CHANCE and MISS HUSSY were slow to begin.  MISS HUSSY and THERE SHE WAS bumped on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion.  THERE SHE WAS and MISS HUSSY bumped entering the back straight.  GOLD DIVA raced wide in the back straight.  THERE SHE WAS and HURRICANE CHANCE bumped in the front straight just prior to the finish line.

SULZANTI @ STUD NOVICE 520M

Even start with MAGIC MINSTREL slow to begin.  UNIQUE AFFAIR, NORDOC MAGIC and ALL BECAUSE bumped heavily shortly after the start resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  LUCKY SALLY checked off the heels of SO KAWAII and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  MAGIC MINSTREL raced wide in the back straight.  DESPERADO BOY shifted out entering the home straight bumping LUCKY SALLY, resulting in that greyhound becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  DESPERADO BOY and LUCKY SALLY continued to bump down the home straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  ALL BECAUSE shifted out on the turn out of the home straight on the 1st occasion bumping SHOW ME DOLLARS who lost ground as a result and became unbalanced and bumped MAGIC MINSTREL, resulting in both MAGIC MINSTREL and SHOW ME DOLLARS losing considerable ground.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 520M

CAN OF SPRITE was best to begin.  BUSH SPIRIT jumped awkward as the start was effected and was slow into stride.  General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in UNIQUE KALEESI and STEALTH FIGHTER being inconvenienced and losing some ground.  TREBLIG LUCIA was also inconvenienced and lost ground.  BELLA LEE shifted out on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping HERE FOR YOU and forcing that greyhound to race wide, resulting in SMASH EM DOLLARS checking off the heels of HERE FOR YOU and losing considerable ground.  TREBLIG LUCIA raced wide on the turn into the back straight.  STEALTH FIGHTER and SMASH EM DOLLARS bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in STEALTH FIGHTER losing ground.  TREBLIG LUCIA raced wide in the back straight.  TREBLIG LUCIA raced wide in the front straight.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 3/4th GRADE 520M

AZARIAH was best to begin.  CAPTAIN THURSDAY was slow into stride as the start was effected.  CIGAR SAM and CAPTAIN THURSDAY bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion, resulting in CIGAR SAM losing some ground.  AZARIAH checked off the heels of BUTCHULLA BOY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to MY SPRITE.  CAPTAIN THURSDAY raced wide into the back straight.  BUTCHULLA BOY and UP THE ATTITUDE bumped just prior to the finish line.

 

The greyhound CAPTAIN THURSDAY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mrs. Baker expressing that the performance of CAPTAIN THURSDAY tonight was somewhat disappointing.  Mrs. Baker explained to stewards that the greyhound was forced to race wide for most of the journey and at its previous races it likes to run on the rail.  Stewards advised Mrs. Baker that if there were any abnormalities in the coming days with CAPTAIN THURSDAY to advise the stewards.  Stewards noted Mrs. Baker’s explanation.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  BRALYN AMY and POCAHONTAS bumped shortly after the start, resulting in BRALYN AMY losing some ground.  BARCIA BLUE and TRAV’S MAGIC bumped continually down the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and shifting in and bumping SHOTOTSU and ZABDON LAMBO, causing these 2 greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.  ALPHA MIMOS and SMOKING PAWS bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  ZABDON LAMBO raced onto the hindquarters of BARCIA BLUE on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in BARCIA BLUE becoming unbalanced, almost falling and causing interference to POCAHONTAS and BRALYN AMY.  SMOKING PAWS checked off the heels of ALPHA MIMOS and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  ZABDON LAMBO checked off the heels of ALPHA MIMOS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SMOKING PAWS raced wide into the home straight.

 

The greyhound BARCIA BLUE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start.  OREO DELIGHT and SPRITLY LADY bumped on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in OREO DELIGHT losing ground.  NO WAY ARNI raced wide on the turn out of the front straight.  SLASHIN; PETE checked across the heels of CARDIAC KING and lost some ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Shortly after NO WAY ARNI checked across the heels of SLASHIN’ PETE and lost some ground.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

This race was run in light rain.

 

ANOTHER HASSLER was best to begin.  BLUEY’S SHOUT and CLASSY BARCY were marginally slow to begin.  CLASSY BARCY checked off the heels of ISSY COOL and lost some ground.  ISSY COOL and CLASSY BARCY bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  CLASSY BARCY checked across the heels of ISSY COOL and lost ground on the turn out of front straight on the 1st occasion.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in ANOTHER HASSLER losing considerable ground.  ARDVARK and KATHIE’S FLASH bumped on the turn into the home straight.  CLASSY BARCY shifted out just prior to the finishing line bumping ANOTHER HASSLER.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with JETT CLASS, SHANAE’S MAGIC and ALPHA ACHILLES marginally slow to begin.  JOHNNY MELODY, SMOKE AND MIRROR and BOGIE BEKIM all bumped shortly after the start resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  JOHNNY MELODY checked across the heels of BOGIE BEKIM and shifted out bumping SMOKE AND MIRROR onto SHANAE’S MAGIC, resulting in the 3 greyhounds losing ground in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  ALPHA ACHILLES and JETT CLASS bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in ALPHA ACHILLES losing ground.  WATTA STEP UP checked off the heels of BOGIE BEKIM on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in interference to ALPHA ACHILLES.  WATTA STEP UP shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping JETT CLASS and forcing that greyhound to race wide and also causing interference to SHANAE’S MAGIC.  SMOKE AND MIRROR and WATTA STEP UP bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and causing interference to SHANAE’S MAGIC.

 

The greyhound JOHNNY MELODY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

10.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 395M

SOMERSET SUPREME was best to begin.  MARLO GOOD was slow to begin.  CHEVY BLUE BOY crossed from a wide position after the start into the 1st turn resulting in general tightening in the field causing severe interference to all greyhounds with the exception of WILDASH WILDBOY and CHEVY BLUE BOY.  This resulted in interference causing TINIE TEMPAH and SOMERSET SUPREME to fall.  ISA STAR checked across the heels of CHEVY BLUE BOY and raced wide on the turn into the home straight.

 

The greyhound TINIE TEMPAH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SOMERSET SUPREME was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
