The greyhound YASI performed a satisfactory Return to Racing Trial 2 over the distance of 380m in a time of 19.16.

 

Stewards Trial 2 – 520m

The greyhound PUNCH RIGHT OUT performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.63 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound OUT OF PUNCH performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.93 and is now cleared all tracks.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

HONEY HORNET was best to begin.  SANRICO ROSIE was slow to begin.  SWEET TALK jumped awkwardly and lost ground as the start was effected.  SUKHOI and FLASH VENTURE bumped shortly after the start.  SUKHOI checked off the heels of FLASH VENTURE approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in SUKHOI becoming unbalanced and shifting out bumping SMASHNIAK BARC.  RUN LIKE JARROD and FLASH VENTURE bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to RUN LIKE JARROD.  SUKHOI and SANRICO ROSIE raced wide in the back straight.  SUKHOI and SANRICO ROSIE raced wide into the home straight.  SMASHNIAK BARC checked across the heels of SANRICO ROSIE and lost ground approaching the finish line.

KNOCKA ROUND was best to begin.  SO SABRINA was slow to begin.  LUCKY MARLOW, SO SABRINA and FANCY THURSDAY bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in FANCY THURSDAY losing considerable ground.  SO SABRINA checked across the heels LUCKY MARLOW and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  SO SABRINA checked across the heels SHEZA BEAR and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to SO SABRINA.  LIL’S ROSE raced wide in the back straight.  YOUR MY STAR and FANCY THURSDAY raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound FANCY THURSDAY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

Even start.  MAJOR GENERAL and CAN OF SPRITE were slow to begin.  MCCAW MCCAW checked off the heels of UNIQUE GHOSTY and became unbalanced on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in interference to SMASHNIAK MARCY, CAN OF SPRITE and SANDAVE BELLAIRE.  MCCAW MCCAW then shifted out forcing MAJOR GENERAL to race wide.  SANDAVE BELLAIRE commenced to lose ground entering the home straight to finish a distant last.

 

The greyhound SANDAVE BELLAIRE was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

SPLIT SYSTEM and MPINGO were best to begin.  HOUDINI HI checked off the heels of KEROMA STORM and lost ground on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion.  ANGRY ALICE and SHAYLOR SAM bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion.  SHAYLOR SAM checked off the heels of ANGRY ALICE and lost ground prior to turning into the back straight.  MPINGO raced wide in the back straight.  MPINGO and KEROMA STORM raced wide in the home straight.

Even start.  SENOR’S MISTRESS crossed in the front straight on the 1st occasion bumping GREAT KNOCK THAT in onto UP THE ATTITUDE onto SOOT SPRITE, resulting in UP THE ATTITUDE being checked and losing ground.  SOOT SPRITE checked off the heels of UP THE ATTITUDE and lost ground approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the front straight resulting in FAST BEAN, YAMANTO and GREAT KNOCK THAT being checked and losing ground.  SOOT SPRITE raced wide in the back straight.  UP THE ATTITUDE checked across the heels of DON’T KNOCK THAT and lost ground on the turn into the home straight.  UP THE ATTITUDE raced wide into the home straight.  SOOT SPRITE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SOOT SPRITE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer Mr. B Baker was advised to notify stewards if any abnormalities were found with the greyhound following the meeting tonight.

Even start with DETROIT MUSCLE and ALLEZ DE BRAVE bumping heavily shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  UNIQUE AFFAIR marginally slow to begin.  DETROIT MUSCLE checked off the heels of ALLEZ DE BRAVE and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  DOOHAN TIME and UNIQUE AFFAIR bumped on the turn out of the front straight.  ALLEZ DE BRAVE and PASSIVE PROTEST bumped on the turn into the back straight.  DETROIT MUSCLE checked across the heels of UNIQUE AFFAIR and raced wide in the back straight.  DETROIT MUSCLE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound DETROIT MUSCLE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

MISS JAX was best to begin.  ANOTHER HASSLER bumping BACK TO BUSINESS onto TRAV’S MAGIC shortly after the start resulting in BACK TO BUSINESS being checked and losing ground.  ANOTHER HASSLER checked off the heels of TRAV’S MAGIC and lost ground approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  BACK TO BUSINESS checked off the heels of SHANAE’S MAGIC and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  BACK TO BUSINESS shifted out on the turn into the back straight and bumped ANOTHER HASSLER resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BACK TO BUSINESS checked off the heels of ANOTHER HASSLER and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  MISS JAX raced wide in the back straight.  TRAV’S MAGIC checked off the heels of BAZZA’S ISSUE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  MISS JAX raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound BACK TO BUSINESS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. W Thomson in relation to the greyhound’s performance tonight.  Mr. Thomson stated that the greyhound is a good beginner and likes to lead.  The interference that the greyhound suffered tonight at the start in his opinion contributed to the performance of the greyhound even though the greyhound suffered interference on the 1st turn and also into the back.  Mr. Thomson further stated that the greyhound is a speed greyhound and must lead.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

Even start with MISS HUSSY and SHE’S A FOX marginally slow to begin.  General tightening occurred approaching the end of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in VELOCITY MYSTIC being checked and losing ground.  SHE’S A FOX and MISS HUSSY suffered some inconvenience.  SIMPLY MAGIC and THIS TIME MADDIE bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in THIS TIME MADDIE becoming unbalanced and racing wide.  CASH EXPLOSION checked across the heels of THIS TIME MADDIE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  SHE’S A FOX raced wide on the turn out of the front straight causing some inconvenience to VELOCITY MYSTIC.  CASH EXPLOSION and FAST AS bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in FAST AS losing ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  EL MUFASA jumped awkwardly as the start was effected and lost ground.  EL MUFASA, HER FAULT and BROTHER GLENN bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  TRICODE ALL SHOW and JETT CLASS bumped approaching the turn out of the front straight, causing TRICODE ALL SHOW to lose considerable ground.  TRICODE ALL SHOW and HER FAULT bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  EL MUFASA and GLEBE KID raced wide in the back straight.  JETT CLASS shifted out in the front straight bumping SPRITLY LADY and turning its head.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Watkins that the greyhound JETT CLASS would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

GROUP 1 GOLD CUP HEATS THURSDAY 4/5th GRADE 395M

Even start with SMASHNIAK STAR and FLASHMAN SAM marginally slow to begin.  WILDASH WILDBOY and FABRICATED bumped in the back straight.  WILDASH WARRIOR and FLASHMAN SAM raced wide in the back straight.  FLASHMAN SAM checked across the heels of LONG LONG MOCHA and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight.  SMASHNIAK STAR checked off the heels of FABRICATED and lost ground entering the back straight.

 

The greyhound SIGN POST was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
