BEC’S DIAMOND and STEVE’S JEWEL were best to begin with ARIA slowly away.  Soon after the start LUCKY TALISMAN and HONEY HORNET collided causing HONEY HORNET to drop back sharply.  Entering the turn out of the home straight LUCKY TALISMAN and WISMIT collided causing WINSMIT to check STEVE’S JEWEL.  On the turn out of the home straight WINSMIT and STEVE’S JEWEL collided causing STEVE’S JEWEL to take no further competitive part in the event.  In the back straight LUCKY TALISMAN was wide.  In the home straight HONEY HORNET was wide.

 

The greyhound STEVE’S JEWEL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

SIDBO was best to begin with MAYWYN PETTYCASH slowly away.  Soon after the start SUDOKU ROCK and SPEEDY’S MATE collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight SUDOKU ROCK shifted out checking PLENTY OF PUNCH causing PLENTY OF PUNCH to check RATATAT forcing that greyhound wide on the turn.  In the back straight MAYWYN PETTYCASH was wide.  Entering the home straight SUDOKU ROCK and MAYWYN PETTYCASH collided forcing SUKOKU ROCK wide.  Approaching the winning post SPEEDY’S MATE was wide.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN PETTYCASH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer’s representative advised the greyhound missed a run last week and that’s why the greyhound faded in the straight.

WAIKARIE MAGIC and AZARIAH were best to begin with the remainder evenly away.  Soon after the start SAY SAYONARA crossed and checked KNAVE.  Leaving the turn out of the home straight WAIKARIE MAGIC checked off the heels of MAGICAL YESSAM causing WAIKARIE MAGIC to drop back checking STEEL ROSE.  On the turn out of the home and back straights SAY SAYONARA was wide.  In the home straight UP THE ATTITUDE was wide.

SPLIT IMAGE was best to begin with TILLY’S BOY slowly away.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion SWAP YA and NORM THE STORM collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight NORM THE STORM and TILLY’S BOY collided forcing TILLY’S BOY wide on the turn and into the back straight.  In the home straight TILLY’S BOY was wide.

 

The greyhound TILLY’S BOY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer Me. D Swain explained that he was disappointed in the run.

OLD SPICE and ZAMBORA BROKCIE were best to begin with TOBIAS RUMBLE slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight OLD SPICE hit the running rail.  Entering the back straight FLYING CIRCUS and VEGAS BOUND collided.  In the home straight OLD SPICE turned its head outwards and marred FLYING CIRCUS.

 

The greyhound OLD SPICE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Priest that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

SPRING BONANZA was best to begin with FABULOUS STORM slowly away.  Soon after the start TITAN ASH dropped back sharply and took no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the turn out of the home straight DON’T DOUBLE UP and SERENE STAR collided.  On the turn out of the home and back straight SERENE STAR was wide.  Entering the top turn FABULOUS STORM and KING SIZED collided.  Entering the home straight NOT LIKE TOMMY and SERENE STAR collided forcing SERENE STAR wide into the home straight.

 

The greyhound TITAN ASH was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
