TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 395m

The greyhound IBRA CADABRA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.04 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound ZAFONIC FORCE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.33 and is now cleared all tracks except Capalaba until after 14 October 2016.

 

Stewards Trial 2 – 331m

The greyhound URBAN ENFORCER performed a satisfactory 6 months trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.95.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start AMUS UNLEASHED was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight RENALD’S RIVALRY and TOP TELLER were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight BOBBY THE BEAR improved onto the hindquarters of TOP TELLER resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SWEET TALK which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight RENALD’S RIVALRY turned its head and made muzzle contact with CHEEKY YESSAM over a considerable distance resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SWEET TALK shifted out making contact with AMUS UNLEASHED resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. S Hunt that the greyhound SWEET TALK would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence plus injury, underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 21 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. A O’Rielly that the greyhound RENALD’S RIVALRY would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN 520M

Even start with the exception of SPRING FORTE which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start EGYPTIAN KAHN and PETITE LA FEMME were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight COSMIC YESSAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight PETITE LA FEMME eased and lost ground.

 

The greyhound PETITE LA FEMME underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Herr that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence 28  days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M

Even start with the exception of LITTLE MADAM and OUTBACK TREASURE which were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight NEYMAR MAGIC and VAGAS DE KAHN resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after LITTLE MADAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight OUTBACK TREASURE eased and lost ground.

 

The greyhound OUTBACK TREASURE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. J Geoghegan that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD NOVICE 520M

Even start with the exception of PEPPER BEACH which was marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight JACOBY RAIDER and TIP YA CAP were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight JACOBY RAIDER and TIP YA CAP collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight TIP YA CAP improved onto the heels of JACOBY RAIDER and was momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound TIP YA CAP underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

RANI BENZ and HARA’S SUMMER were best to begin.  CLASSY BARCY and SNOW RUNNER were slow out.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight GUNNA WINK and CLASSY BARCY collided resulting in GUNNA WINK to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight BAZZA’S ISSUE and HARA’S SUMMER collided resulting in HARA’S SUMMER to be checked and lose ground.

BRISGREYS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 520M

Even start.  For the majority of the front straight MASTER CHA CHA, SPLITZ and SHAYLOR GEORGE raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SHAYLOR GEORGE lost ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound SHAYLOR GEORGE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M

CHA CHA GEM was best to begin.  HONEY FANTASY was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ICE GAMBLER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight ALPHA PLUTO and BOGIE MIRACLE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ICE GAMBLER which was racing to the outside of BOGIE MIRACLE was checked as a consequence.  ALPHA PLUTO commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound ALPHA PLUTO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK @ BRISGREYS 5th GRADE HEAT 4 520M

Even start.  Leaving the front straight REINHOLD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after KORONG and CLASSY CHURCHIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight and through the back straight REINHOLD and CLASSY CHURCHIE raced tight over a considerable distance resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound GINGER BENZ underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the greyhound’s performance Mr.  Urhrane advised stewards that in his view GINGER BENZ did not run out of the distance of 520m and it would be his intention to race the greyhound over the shorter distances in the near coming future events.  Stewards noted G Urhrane’s explanation.

SULZANTI @ STUD 4/5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Through the 1st turn CHEEKY CHANCE, SIP OF SHIRAZ, FLYING RAVEN and FABRICATED were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight NO CALLARATAH and DAVID’S MEMORY bumped.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of ROYAL ALBERT which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn NOT ANOTHA GINGA, ART OF CONFUSION, HANNAH ALLEN, PROVIDENCE, CELESTIAL SELENE and POWER JET all raced right resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight HANNAH ALLEN commenced to give ground to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  In the back straight JAHIMIA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  JAHIMIA raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound HANNAH ALLEN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
