GLASSHOUSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 395M

TAZI BE GOOD and WILLY TOULA were best to begin while FORGOT MY MOUSE was slow.  In the 1st turn JUST LIKE YAZZA, REBEL KENNELLY and ZAF ELFRON were tightened and lost ground and BOGAN LEGEND and WILLY TOULA were also hampered as a result.  Entering the back straight WILLY TOULA was checked and lost ground.  JUST LIKE YAZZA was wide entering the home straight.

 

The greyhound JUST LIKE YAZZA underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 395M

REGAL LEN and MATADOR MAN were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start REGAL LEN was checked while BUSY BREEZE, ANY WHICH WAY and CALL ME UGO collided and became unbalanced.  In the back straight BUSY BREEZE checked off heels and lost ground.  Entering the home straight CALL ME UGO shifted out turning its head towards ANY WHICH WAY and proceeded to collide with this greyhound causing ANY WHICH WAY to become unbalanced.  BACK ON TOP that was following was also inconvenienced.  ANY WHICH WAY and BOGAN BELLE collided in the run to the finish.

 

The greyhound CALL ME UGO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Hazelgrove that the greyhound CALL ME UGO would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with injury, 1st offence, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks.

GARRARD’S HORSE & HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 395M

CURL THE WAVE and SUCCATASH began well.  RED VEE had its muzzle dislodged at the start.  MULGOWIE YOWIE was checked at the start and became unbalanced.  Shortly after the start QUITE SINCERE shifted in colliding with AMBURLA and both greyhounds lost ground.  IZY MAGIC was also hampered as a result of this incident.  In the 1st turn IZY MAGIC was tightened.  Entering the top turn AMBURLA contacted the running rail and shifted out colliding with IZY MAGIC causing this greyhound to fall and both took no further competitive part in the event.  Leaving the 1st turn MULGOWIE YOWIE improved onto the heels of CURL THE WAVE and both greyhounds became unbalanced.

 

The greyhound AMBURLA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound IZY MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 395M

ARABELLA EMJAY and NO VISA were best to begin.  Shortly after the start ARABELLA EMJAY and NO VISA collided and were unbalanced.  TRUTH PREVAILS was also inconvenienced.  Entering the back straight ITCHY FINGER and NO VISA were momentarily hampered.  At the same time BIG SHOW HAWKO and MERRIWA collided causing MERRIWA to lose ground.  Approaching the top turn MERRIWA and NO VISA collided and became severely unbalanced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound NO VISA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MERRIWA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CORY’S DIAMOND was declared a late scratching at 4.10pm as the trainer failed to present the greyhound with the approved racing muzzle as directed by stewards.

 

KAZEKO was best to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn HYDROGEN was tightened and lost ground and DANCING SOLO that was following was also hampered. Entering the back straight SHOTOTSU checked off heels.  Approaching the top turn STAR BILLING checked off heels. 

 

The greyhound SHOTOTSU underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 395M

MAM’S MAGIC was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SWIFT NIMROD, CLASSY BARCY and MAZZA bumped.  In the 1st turn ODESSA and MAGIC PASS were tightened and lost ground.  SWIFT NIMROD, CLASSY BARCY and MAZZA that were following were inconvenienced.  Approaching the top turn MAGIC PASS faltered and lost ground and MAZZA that was following was inconvenienced.  In the top turn ODESSA and SWIFT NIMROD collided.  SWIFT NIMROD was wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SWIFT NIMROD underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ODESSA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MAGIC PASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING 4/5th GRADE 395M

NOSE DOWN was best to begin.  At the start OPPORTUNE KNOCKA, FREE SPIRIT and SANTA CLAWS were tightened between GUTENBERG and REGAL HOPE and all greyhounds became unbalanced.  BONKNOCKA PRINCE and NOSE DOWN that were following were also hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn FREE SPIRIT contacted the running rail and became unbalanced.  In the back straight GUTENBERG and BONKNOCKA PRINCE came together causing BONKNOCKA PRINCE to lose ground.  Entering the home straight GUTENBERG and SANTA CLAWS collided heavily and became unbalanced.

 

The greyhound BONKNOCKA PRINCE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FREE SPIRIT underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip support, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 3/4th GRADE 395M

RAMBLIN’ ROSE was best to begin.  Entering the home straight CUZZY BROMAC and TUCO SALAMANCA raced tight and bumped for some distance.

 

The greyhound CUZZY BROMAC underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind foot, and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Stewards had some concerns with the actions of TUCO SALAMANCA entering the home straight; however could not be comfortably satisfied there was sufficient evidence to pursue a charge against the greyhound.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 520M

SAPPHIRE QUEEN was best to begin.  LORD LACHLAN was slow.  In the front straight BON KNOCKA was tightened and lost ground.  Shortly after, LORD LACHLAN checked off heels and became severely unbalanced.  At the same time BON KNOCKA, MIGHTY NIMROD and SPRING TIME GIRL collided and became unbalanced.  In the 1st turn MIGHTY NIMROD and MORAYFIELD SWIFT collided.  In the back straight MIGHTY NIMROD checked off heels.  In the top turn MORAYFIELD SWIFT shifted out and marred the running of BON KNOCKA continuing into the home straight and both greyhounds took no further competitive part in the event.

 

The greyhound LORD LACHLAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. L Kleinhans that the greyhound MORAYFIELD SWIFT would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

POWER OF PENNY was best to begin.  In the 1st turn COSMIC ELITE, LEARNED LOVE, MONDELLA, REGAL TRAV and BANG ON TARGET were all hampered causing LEARNED LOVE and COSMIC ELITE to lose ground and BANG ON TARGET to become severely unbalanced and lose ground.  Shortly after, LEARNED LOVE and COSMIC ELITE collided and lost further ground.

 

The greyhound LEARNED LOVE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BANG ON TARGET underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

FUNNY FELLOW and REGAL BILL were best to begin while BONKNOCKA BEANS was slow.  In the 1st turn IRON MONARCH and CAPTAIN’S KNOCK came together.  Entering the back straight BONKNOCKA BEANS and GOT THERE collided.  Approaching the top turn FUNNY FELLOW was hampered and lost ground.  Entering the home straight GOT THERE checked off heels and was unbalanced.  LARRIKAN LASS was wide in the home straight.

ROYAL ALBERT, MACFARLANE and HARA‘S HUMMER were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn CUPPA TEA KIWI, MACFARLANE and HARA’S HUMMER were all  tightened and lost ground.
