ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN – 395M

JEANNIE DREAMING was best to begin.  FLYING COMET and HYDE were both marginally slow.  Leaving the 1st turn, RICH BURGUNDY and STEAK SANDWHICH improved onto the rear of both ASH TIDE and AVA SURPRISE, causing RICH BURGUNDY and STEAK SANDWHICH to lose significant ground as a result, and ASH TIDE and AVA SURPRISE to become unbalanced and lose momentum.  Shortly after, HYDE checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, JEANNIE DREAMING and GRAY GREY GOOSE raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN FINAL – 395M

HAY NANNY was marginally slow to begin.  At the 1st turn, the entire field, with the exception of SHE’S GOOD, came together and checked with all losing ground to varying degrees.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, JEMMA’S MAGIC checked off heels and lost considerable ground as a consequence.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HARA’S STEVO checked off heels and lost ground.  NEW STAR RISING shifted wide through the turn into the front straight.  BOYZ ONE and HAY NANNY checked leaving the turn into the front straight. 

 

Stewards’ question licensed trainer, Mr D Turley, in relation to the performance of the greyhound, SHE’S GOOD, which won the race at a price of $63.80.  Mr Turley stated that he believed the greyhound performs better from the 395 boxes and also when leading, and that luck  provided the chance today for it to break through for its maiden victory.

EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS NOVICE – 395M

BRAYSTONES BEACH, FEAR BETTY and HARA’S REBEL were all best to begin.  HAY YOU FELLA and DYNAMITE PACE were both marginally slow.  In the back straight, MISS GAMBLER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, TIARA GLOW stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. 

 

The greyhound KIA BE GOOD underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

SOLO DANCER was best to begin, KIA BE GOOD was slow.  At the 1st turn, KIA BE GOOD improved onto the rear of MR. BANKS, causing KIA BE GOOD to lose significant ground as a consequence.  VALKYRIE KNIGHT raced wide through the turn into the front straight, and for the remainder of the race thereafter.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE (2) – 395M

TOOK A TRIP was best to begin, HAVANA BLACK was marginally slow.  At the 1st turn, BAILEY BE GOOD was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  At the same time, CIANNA’S ANGEL was tightened for racing room and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, MIDNIGHT TO ONE shifted out which hampered the running of MISS OSPREY, which was trailing.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, CIANNA’S ANGEL checked off heels and lost ground, shifting out as a consequence.  MISS OSPREY, which was trailing, was hampered and raced wide through the turn into the front straight.

WITHCOTT HOTEL 5TH GRADE – 520M

AND YOU ARE and FARAHMAC were both clearly best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, YEAH OKAY checked off heels and shifted wide as it did.  In the 1st turn, AND YOU ARE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground as a result.  YEAH OKAY raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, AND YOU ARE and FARAHMAC raced tight and checked, WHIPPY MIDGET, which was trailing, was impeded and shifted wide.  Shortly after, AND YOU ARE checked off heels and shifted wide, losing ground as it did.  From the back straight onwards, BLAZE ROSE HI commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race thereafter.

 

The greyhound BLAZE ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SIR TO YOU was best to begin, COMETRON FLYER and NEVER A DOUBT were both marginally slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, COMETRON FLYER checked off heels and lost ground as a result.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, REGAL TRAV and NEVER A DOUBT raced tight and checked, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MIXED 1/2 – 395M

LADY OLIVIA and ALBURY WAY were both best to begin.  BUDDY TOKAAM was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, ARABIAN GO GO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, STUEY shifted out which inconvenienced REGAL BILL, which was racing to its outside, causing REGAL BILL to lose ground as a consequence.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, STUEY and BUDDY TOKAAM checked causing BUDDY TOKAAM to lose ground.  STUEY and REGAL BILL raced wide through the turn into the front straight. 

 

The greyhound STUEY underwent 2 x post-race veterinary examinations and no apparent injuries were found.

TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5 – 395M

SAGE OF OMAHA and IRON MONARCH were both marginally slow to begin.  At the 1st turn, the majority of the field raced tight, with DANCING SOLO and ON THE RIZE tightened for racing room, checked and losing ground as a result.  PLUM JAM, which was trailing, collided into the rear of ON THE RIZE, causing both greyhounds to lose substantial ground and any competitive chance in the race thereafter.  DANCING SOLO raced wide through the turn out of the back straight, and also through the turn into the front straight.  PLUM JAM and ON THE RIZE raced tight and checked approaching the turn into the front straight, with both greyhounds losing considerable ground as a consequence. 

 

The greyhound PLUM JAM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE FINAL – 395M

INTERACTION and JESS ROSE HI were both marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, REGAL WAZ checked off heels and lost ground as a result.  The entire field raced tight into the 1st turn, with all greyhounds losing ground to varying degrees.  Shortly after, JESS ROSE HI checked off heels and lost ground.  REGAL WAZ was inconvenienced as a result of this contact and also lost ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, BIG TRIGGER and INTERACTION raced tight and checked, with both losing ground as a result.

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE (3) – 395M

HARA’S FLAME was best to begin, BOGAN SECRET and HALL PASS were both marginally slow.  Leaving the 1st turn, HAY WILLIAM was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HALL PASS and HOLLY KNOCKS checked.  RUNOUT BOY and HALL PASS raced wide through the turn out of the back straight, and continued to race wide through the turn into the front straight.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP 5PW – 395M

PINATA was best to begin.  OLD MOON MADNESS was slow.  In the 1st turn, VIKING WHITE and REPTAR raced tight and checked causing both greyhounds to lose ground as a result.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, LARRIKAN LASS checked off heels and lost significant ground as a consequence.  CHIEF ROSE HI commenced to yield ground from the back straight onwards.  OLD MOON MADNESS, which was trailing, was severely impeded and lost substantial ground as a result.

 

The greyhound CHIEF ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
