Stewards’ Trial

The greyhound BARCIA JEANES performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 600m, in a time

of 35.07, and is now cleared to race with Blinkers.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Leaving the front straight, DOLLAR DAYS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, SIR RAVEN and SILVER STUNNER collide, resulting in SILVER STUNNER to be checked and to lose ground.  Shortly after, HYDE shifted out which hampered the running of SIR RAVEN.

Even start.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, KULU BAZZA and APACHE VALLEY collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  PALLINGTON, JOHN PRINCE and DORIE’S PICK, which was trailing, checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, PALLINGTON turned its head outwards towards the direction of APACHE VALLEY and lost ground.  Entering the front straight, JOHN PRINCE shifted out turned its head and made muzzle contact with PALLINGTON on a number of occasions, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and to lose considerable ground. 

 

The greyhound PALLINGTON underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr M Emery, the greyhound JOHN PRINCE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 3rd Offence, and would be stood down for 3 months and greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr N Eastell, the greyhound PALLINGTON would be charged under Rule 69 (a) Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, and would be stood down for 28 days at Albion Park and the greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over 520m.

SULZANTI @ STUD NOVICE 520M

HONEY HORNET was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, DODGE ME was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, LAGOON LUCKY collided with BIG PRINCE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  DAB LIVY DAB, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, LAGOON LUCKY and BIG PRINCE collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  DAB LIVY DAB, which was racing to the outside of LAGOON LUCKY, was checked as a consequence and raced wide.  Leaving the back straight, BIG PRINCE checked across heels and lost ground.

 

The greyhound LAGOON LUCKY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 520M

Even start, with the exception of SORRENTO and BULA SUPAGUSE which were both marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, STRUDEL shifted out which hampered the running of BILLY BOY.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

Even start, with the exception of OUTBACK SUNSHINE which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, SMASHNIAK WINX was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn, JOHN’S LAST was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, ARABELLA EMJAY and SHOT CLOCK collide.  In the front straight at the later stages of the race, SHOT CLOCK and ARABELLA EMJAY collide.

SKY RACING 0 – 3 WINS 600M

Even start.  Rounding the turn in the front straight, on the 1st occasion, BAGO BYE BYE, AUSSIE DIAMOND and KULU CHANCE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight, BAGO BYE BYE was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with SMART MARLOW, resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, BAGO BYE BYE turned its head in the direction of AGENT’S CHOICE, which was racing to its inside and lost ground.  In the front straight during the later stages of the race, AGENT’S CHOICE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound AGENT’S CHOICE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BAGO BYE BYE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr Darren Russel, the greyhound BAGO BYE BYE would be charged under Rule 69 (a) Failing to Purse 1st Offence, and would be stood down for a period 28 days at Albion Park and the greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over 600m.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

MINSTREL MAN was best to begin.  BON KNOCKA raced wide in the back straight.  SWIFT NIMROD raced wide round the turn into the front straight.

 

When questioned over the performance of BON KNOCKA, trainer Mr A Hess voiced his disappointment in the greyhound’s run tonight, however, he was of the view that BON KNOCKA failed to handle the Albion Park circuit.  He further stated that the greyhound would improve with racing, as it had only been in his care for its previous two starts.  Stewards’ advised Mr Hess to inform them if anything would become amiss of the greyhound in the upcoming days.

 

The greyhound BON KNOCKA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM 3/4th GRADE 520M

Even start.  In the front straight, on the first occasion, ARABIAN GO GO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight, MISTER BELUCHI was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted in and collided with IRINKA GAIL, which resulted in that greyhound to be severely checked and fall taking no further competitive part in the race. FIRST FIRE and DAZE LIKE THESE, which were trailing, were severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BERGERAC shifted out which checked the running of YOREMMUP, resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, FIRST FIRE shifted out colliding with YOREMMUP, causing that greyhound to lose ground.

 

The greyhound BERGERAC underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start.  Shortly after the start, GUNNA WINK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight, VOLKEY and BRIGHTEST STAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound GUNNA WINK underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off shoulder and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

TIPPING.BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, BETTER SIZE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn, UNIQUE KALEESI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, EGYPTIAN MISS commenced to give to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.  UNIQUE KALEESI was checked as a result of this incident and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound EGYPTIAN MISS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
