@ STUD MDNPW – 331M Even
start, with the exception of STELLAR STAR and BLUE JAY JAY
which were both marginally slow to begin.
Entering the back straight, KEY FACTOR improved onto the hindquarters
of OUTBACK SHADOW, resulting in the greyhound to be checked and to lose
ground. Approaching the turn out of
the back straight, BLUE JAY JAY was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SMASHNIAK CROWN and RING
HIM collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. Shortly after, OUTBACK SHADOW shifted in
and made contact with the running rail and lost ground. The
greyhound OUTBACK SHOW underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for
a period of 10 days. |

WITHCOTT HOTEL MAIDEN
(1) - 331M HOOT and RAIN ALERT were best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight, KINGSBRAE BOY and HOOT collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and to lose ground. Rounding
the turn out of the back straight, COUNTRY TWIST improved onto the
hindquarters of SO CRAZY, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the front straight, KINGSBRAE BOY shifted out, which checked the running of
RAIN ALERT and SHESA DRATTA. Rounding
the turn into the front straight, HOOT and RAIN ALERT collide, resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. In the front straight, in the run to the
finish, HOOT and KINGSBRAE BOY collide on a number of occasions. The greyhound KINGSBRAE BOY underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN (2) – 331M MERLIN’S MAID, BUTTERFLY IS SHE, OUTBACK MANDRAKE and
NITRO NORMA were best to begin. POTATO
MASHER was slow to begin. Entering the
back straight, BUTTERFLY IS SHE was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Leaving the back
straight, FANTA POP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the front straight,
and in the front straight, BUTTERFLY IS SHE and POTATO MASHER collide on a
number of occasions. Ms A Boody, licensed trainer of
BUTTERFLY IS SHE, was advised that stewards’ had concerns with her
greyhound’s actions rounding the turn into the front straight. After considering all available evidence,
the stewards’ could not comfortably satisfied that the greyhound had breached
any rule, and therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt. |

THE MANLY HOTEL NOVICE (1) – 331M OH SHE GLOWS, LUNA BEACH, HONEY’S PRINCESS and KYARNA
were best to begin, COLLECT FOUR was slow to begin. Entering the back straight, LUNA BEACH and
HONEY’S PRINCESS were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight,
COLLECT FOUR and ROYAL PLAY collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and to lose ground. Rounding
the turn into the front straight, HONEY’S PRINCESS shifted out and collided
with OH SHE GLOWS, resulting in that greyhound to be checked and to lose
ground. |

front straight, KYEEKY improved onto the heels of MR. APOLLO and lost ground.

of the race. Even start.
Entering the back straight, BOGIE TEEJAY was tightened for racing

Rounding the turn out of the back straight, CHASING DIAMONDS checked
across heels and lost ground. The greyhound TRY COMB underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
