Race 1 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE – 520M
UNIQUE LEIGH began awkwardly and bumped PETA
GLEDHILL. Approaching the 1st
turn, RING HIM checked in across heels and bumped UNIQUE LEIGH. UNIQUE LEIGH was tightened for room and
hampered. Out of the turn into the back
straight, RING HIM was tightened for room and hampered. Through the turn into the front straight,
RING HIM improved onto heels and was hampered. On entering the front straight,
UNIQUE LEIGH and RING HIM bumped. In the front straight, MIA’S KARMAR marred
the running of UNO UNO, which was checked.
Stewards’ advised connections of MIA’S KARMAR
that the greyhound would be suspended under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
Offence, and would be stood down for a period of 28 days and be required to
perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to racing.
Race 2 – UBET TAPPY MA5 (1) – 520M
CASH
FUND was best to begin. OBI KENOBI was slow to begin. Shortly after the start,
DISCO DOLLY checked out across heels. Approaching the 1st turn,
COSMO CYNDIE collided with AZARIAH and checked out across heels. On entering the front straight, CASH FUND and
COSMO CYNDIE bumped.
In
the front straight, OBI KENOBI failed to pursue the lure with due commitment
and stewards’ advised connections that the greyhound would be suspended under
Rule 69B Failing to Pursue with Injury and would be stood down for a period of
14 days and be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to
racing.
Race 3 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MA5 (2) – 520M
ARDEN
STREET began awkwardly and lost ground. CAPTAIN TIL was best to begin. Shortly
after the start, ADHARA STEEL and ONE DOLLAR all bumped. On entering the 1st
turn, CAPTAIN TIL and KNOCKER KNOCK were both tightened for room and checked.
ONE DOLLAR was hampered. Out of the turn into the back straight, PENDITA and
KNOCKER KNOCK collided, both runners were checked. Out of the back straight
into the turn, CAPTAIN TIL was tightened for room and checked. KNOCKER KNOCK
which was trailing, was checked.
The
greyhound KNOCKER KNOCK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.

Shortly
after the start, BIG HERO SIX and MUSTANG NOVA were both tightened for room and
checked. STEALTH KARMAR, which was trailing, was checked. In the front
straight, BLITZEN LEE was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after, ORWELLIAN was tightened for
room and hampered. On entering the 1st turn, BIG HERO SIX checked
out across heels. BLITZEN LEE checked out across heels. MUSTANG NOVA was tightened
for room and hampered. Through the turn into the back straight, MUSTANG NOVA
and STEALTH KARMAR collided and were checked. Out of the back straight into the
turn, MAYWYN REWARDS was tightened for room and hampered. BIG HERO SIX and
MUSTANG NOVA collided and lost ground. STEALTH KARMAR, which was trailing, was
checked.
Race 5 – ASSEST BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND 5TH
GRADE (2) – 520M
PRINCESS
EMILY began awkwardly. Shortly after the
start, NEVER WALK ALONE, HARA’S DAZZA and ROXANNE BENZ all collided. In the
front straight, NEVER WALK ALONE, HARA’S DAZZA and ROXANNE BENZ all collided
again. On entering the 1st turn, PRINCESS EMILY and DÉJÀ VU ROCK were
both tightened for room, checked and collided on a number of occasions. Through
the turn into the back straight, NEVER WALK ALONE and GALWAY JOHANN collided.
HARA’S DAZZA and ROXANNE BENZ collided. Out of the turn into the back straight,
HARA’S DAZZA and PRINCESS EMILY collided. Out of the back straight into the
turn, HARA’S DAZZA and ROXANNE BENZ collided. Out of the turn into the front
straight, DÉJÀ VU ROCK checked out across heels. GALWAY JOHANN raced wide in
the back and front straight. Approaching
the winning post ROXANNE BENZ failed to pursue the lure with due commitment.
The
greyhound ROXANNE BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Stewards’
advised connection to ROXANNE BENZ, the greyhound would be charged under Rule
69A(2)(c) Failing to Pursue, 3rd Offence, and would be stood down for a period
of 12 months and be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to
racing.
Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS 5TH GRADE
(3) – 520M
LOVE
THE LOOK was best to begin. Shortly after the start, SHOES TO FILL was
tightened for room and hampered. REGAL
EMERALD checked in across heels. Approaching the 1st turn, GIVE IT
SOME was tightened for room and checked.
SHOES TO FILL, which was trailing, was checked. REGAL EMERALD collided with SHOES TO FILL.
Out of the back straight into the turn, GIVE IT SOME improved onto heels and
was checked. PITTSBURGH PHIL was tightened for room and shifted inwards. GIVE
IT SOME was tightened for room and checked. Over the concluding stages of the
event, SHOES TO FILL and POLLYS MAID collided.
Race 7 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 4TH GRADE –
520M
DAHOMEY
WINDSONG was best to begin. Through the
turn into the back straight, BLOZA checked out across heels. PYRO BOB collided
with CYN’S MAGIC, fell, and took no further competitive part in the event.
CYN’S MAGIC sustained an injury, fell and took no further part in the event. On
entering the back straight, INDIAN GIVER was tightened for room and hampered.
In the front straight, MAGIC HORNET and MR. BELVEDERE bumped.
A
post-race veterinary examination of CYN’S MAGIC revealed that the greyhound
sustained an injury to the near shoulder and was stood down for a period of 28
days.

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5TH GRADE
FINAL – 520M
NIKKI NETTLE was best
to begin. REGAL RECALL was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, GO RUBY GO,
LIL MISS PINKY and YEAH OKAY all collided, YEAH OKAY was checked. REGAL RECALL,
which was trailing, was checked. On entering the 1st turn, NIKKI
NETTLE and SPOOKY SENSATION collided, NIKKI NETTLE was checked. LIL MISS PINKY
was checked and forced out wider on the track as a result. GO RUBY GO, YEAH
OKAY and STEAL A KISS, which were all trailing, all collided and were checked.
Shortly after, NIKKI NETTLE and STEAL A KISS collided and were checked. Out of
the back straight into the turn, SPOOKY SENSATION collided with REGAL RECALL
and was checked. Out of the turn into the front straight, YEAH OKAY and REGAL
RECALL bumped.

NETTLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
Race 9 – BRISGREYS.COM BEST 8 – 520M
WISE MISTY slipped at
the start. Out of the back straight into the turn, BUBBLE GUPPY improved onto
heels and was hampered. Through the turn into the front straight, BUBBLE GUPPY
shifted out and bumped WISE MISTY.

to begin. On entering the 1st turn, ROCKY SPIES was tightened for
room and checked. Out of the front straight into the turn, RULE THE ROAD
checked out across heels and collided with BRITTANY TALKS.
