Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN (1) – 395M

 

DEVIL FISH and HARA’S HUSTLE were slow to begin.  At the 1st turn, DANILO was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  DEVIL FISH, which was racing to the outside of DANILO, was inconvenienced as a result of that contact and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, DEVIL FISH and WESTMEAD COMET bumped.  

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN (2) – 395M

 

HAIGHT ASHBURY, NANGAR BREEZE and HARA’S SHADOW were best to begin.  STEWY’S MAGIC and LOGAN’S RUN were marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, REGAL REPORT checked off heels and collided into LOGAN’S RUN, causing both those greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, NANGAR BREEZE and KOORINGA ZOE raced tight and bumped, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, REGAL REPORT was impeded, shifted wide and checked off the heels of NANGAR BREEZE then fell.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, STEWY’S MAGIC and LOGAN’S RUN raced tight and bumped on occasion for the remainder of the race.

 

The greyhound REGAL REPORT underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS NOVICE (1) – 395M

 

FARMOR HEAT was best to begin, WHO’S HOPE was very slow.  Shortly after the start, APACHE VILLA was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  Shortly after that, GOLD GRACE checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, WHO’S HOPE was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  FABIO MARSHA and APACHE VILLA, which were racing to its outside, were severely inconvenienced and lost ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, GOLD GRACE improved onto the heels of WHO’S HOPE, causing both those greyhounds to lose ground.  Shortly after GOLD GRACE checked off heels and lost ground. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE (2) – 395M

 

MISS BECKBOO was best to begin, RAPID EFFECT was marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, CYNIE SAID was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, RAPID EFFECT was tightened for racing room and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, BURRUM EAGLE shifted out and collided into MISS BECKBOO, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Just prior to the finish, CYNDIE SAID shifted in and collided with RAPID EFFECT.

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

 

HAZE PURPLE was best to begin, HARA’S HORNET AND KINGSBRAE CAROL were marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, ANNIE SAID and BACK PLAY checked, causing ANNIE SAID to become unbalanced.  Approaching the 1st turn, VELOCITY ZARIN checked off heels and lost ground.  Shortly after, BACK PLAY improved onto the heels of FARCELONA FENIX, causing both those greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BACK PLAY was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost considerable ground. 

 

Race 6 – FABERGAS @ STUD MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

RED VEE was clearly best to begin, COOKIE NO CREAM was marginally slow.  At the 1st turn, CORY’S DIAMOND was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  Shortly after, CORY’S DIAMOND checked off heels and lost ground.  At the turn out of the back straight, TREAGLE TRIUMPH was impeded and lost momentum.  Midway down the front straight, GITCHA HUMMIN’ and TREAGLE TRIUMPH raced tight and bumped and continued to race tight over the concluding stages of the race.

 

Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

MAKO MAC was clearly best to begin, NIVEK RETSERROF was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, HAY ROSALIE stumbled and lost ground.  STEAL A KISS and LA BAMBA, which were racing to the outside of HAY ROSALIE, were inconvenienced and lost ground.  LA BAMBA raced wide through the 1st turn.  IRON MAID and REPTAR raced tight and checked at the 1st turn.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HAY ROSALIE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. 

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM BEST 8 – 395M

 

ARABIAN GO GO and DAISY DREAMS were best to begin, COMETRON FLYER was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, SANTA CLAWS checked off heels and lost considerable ground.  Shortly after, IRON MONARCH was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, IRON MONARCH was tightened for racing room, became unbalanced and lost ground.  Shortly after, SANTA CLAWS was impeded and lost momentum. 

 

The greyhound SANTA CLAWS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – THE MANLY HOTEL 4TH GRADE – 395M

 

ZENYATTA MISS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, DE ZOOYA and KATIE WHO checked, resulting in KATIE WHO becoming severely unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  In the 1st turn, ILLAWONG COWGIRL improved onto the rear of PEBBLE BAY then shifted out colliding with KATIE WHO, causing those greyhounds to all lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the top straight, PEBBLE BAY was tightened for racing room and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn out of the top straight, SHORT SESSION shifted in, which impeded PEBBLE BAY, causing that greyhound to lose ground and shift out. JOHN SAID THIS, which was trailing, shifted wide to avoid inconvenience.

 

The greyhound KATIE WHO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE (2) – 395M

 

WESTERN COMET was slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, MISS GAMBLER was tightened for racing room, became severely unbalanced and lost substantial ground as a consequence.  Shortly after, POONYAHRA checked off heels and lost substantial ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, WESTERN COMET checked off heels and lost significant ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, MISS GAMBLER improved onto the rear of ARFA SHOW OFF and shifted wider as a result. 

 

The greyhound WESTERN COMET underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 11 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS 5PW – 395M

 

MISS HIPSTA was best to begin, PANTERA NEGRA was slow.  VIKING WHITE, ROSEALIE WHO and SATIN LUSTRE all raced tight at the 1st turn.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, VIKING WHITE, ROSEALIE WHO and SATIN LUSTRE checked, causing ROSEALIE WHO and SATIN LUSTRE to lose ground.  VIKING WHITE shifted out after that contact.  PANTERA NEGRA and BATTY LOVES BEER shifted wide down the back straight.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BATTY LOVES BEER was impeded and lost momentum.  VIKING WHITE raced wide through the turn into the front straight, and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race.
